GATE 2022 Live Updates: The second day of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2022 exam will begin today (February 6, 2022). GATE 2022 exam is being held as per the schedule. The exam will be conducted in two shifts – from 9 am to noon and from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm. 

GATE 2022 is an online national level examination conducted for Master of Engineering (ME), Masters in Technology (MTech) and direct PhD admissions to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and other institutes/universities across India.

GATE 2022: Shift 1 Students' Reactions & Reviews

For the majority of students whom Shiksha talk to, the GATE 2022 ECE paper was moderate. The quantitative aptitude section of the question paper was moderate to difficult. Questions were asked from EDC, Analogue, Control. Candidates can check the feedback of students regarding the GATE 2022 ECE Exam below:

Manish: Overall, the paper was easy. If you have prepared for the exam properly then you can score good marks in the exam. Aptitude was very easy but some questions in Analogue were tough and a very less number of questions were asked from Communication. Engineering Math was also easy.

Nitesh Sharma: Overall, the paper was of a moderate level. A good number of questions were asked from Analogue and Communication. Quantitative Aptitude and Math was of easy level.

Shubh Tiwari: The question paper was of moderate level. A good number of questions were asked from EDC, Analogue, Control. If you have a good preparation for the exam then you can easily answer these questions.

GATE 2022: Shift 1 begins 

IIT Kharagpur has commenced the Shift 1 of February 6 GATE 2022 exam at 9 AM. Exam centres across the country followed exam and COVID-19 related guidelines. The exam will conclude at 12 pm.

GATE 2022: Entry begins 

Authorities at the respective exam centres have started the entry of students. Students have started arriving at the examination centres. GATE 2022 will be conducted in two shifts. The first shift is from 9 am to noon, while the second one is between 2.30 pm and 5.30 pm. Students without a mask and sanitiser will not be allowed to enter the examination hall.

GATE 2022: What to carry/not to carry to exam centre 

Candidates who are going to appear for GATE 2022 must carry the following items at the GATE exam centre.  

  • GATE 2022 admit card 
  • One valid photo identity proof  
  • Mask and sanitiser   
  • Pen and pencil 
  • Students can carry transparent water bottles 
  • Any ornament, goggles, smartwatch, wallets, handbags, belts will not be allowed.

GATE 2022 to be held today 

The second day of GATE 2022 exam will begin today at 9 AM. GATE 2022 will be conducted in two shifts. The first shift is from 9 am to noon, while the second one is between 2.30 pm and 5.30 pm. The exam is conducted for a total of 100 marks and the score is valid for a period of three years after the results are declared. The next GATE 2022 will be held on February 12 and February 13, 2022.
