Banaras Hindu University to Offer Three Scholarships Under Pratidana Initiative

BHU scholarship 2024 now includes three new scholarships under the Pratidana Initiative for faculty of education, central Hindu boys school and central Hindu girls school. 

Banaras Hindu University is offering three new scholarships under the Pratidana Initiative. The scholarships will be offered one each for the Central Hindu Boys School, Faculty of Education, and Central Hindu Girls School.  BHU has received donations from the Pratidana Initiative. The scholarships will be awarded on merit-cum-means basis. 

The academic council of Banaras Hindu University (BHU) have further approved a proposal for 14 additional merit-cum-means scholarships and one gold medal during the current academic year. 

BHU Scholarship Details

Students can check the details of new scholarships at Banaras Hindu University below: 

• The Bindhyachal Devi Scholarship (Rs. 25,000 annually) will be provided for the Faculty of Education and will be awarded to one first-year student of B.Ed. Special Education.
•  The Madan Mohan Prasad Scholarship (Rs. 5,000 per annum) will be provided to one student of class 10th at Central Hindu Boys School
• The Bimla Srivastava Scholarship (Rs. 5,000 p.a.) will be provided to the students of class 10th at Central Hindu Girls School. 

The scholarships of the Pratidana initiative at Banaras Hindu University are aimed at providing and garnering support from alumni and well-wishers, in order to establish scholarships for meritorious students, enhance learning opportunities, need-based financial aid, and promote excellence in teaching.

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is a central university recognised by UGC and accredited with an 'A' grade by NAAC. The university is ranked 5 and 11 in the 'university and 'overall' category under the NIRF Ranking 2023.
