DU Admissions 2021: 36,130 candidates complete admission process under DU 1st Cut-off List

With the completion of admission against the DU first cutoff 2021, a little over half of the seats are already filled.

DU Admissions 2021: Delhi University has received a total of 60,904 applications under the first cut-off list. As per the reports, a total of 36,130 students have successfully completed their admission process under the first cut-off list. It must be noted that Delhi University has 70,000 seats at its affiliated colleges for UG courses. With the completion of admission against the DU first cutoff 2021, a little over half of the seats are already filled. And if the numbers continue to rise like this, it is expected that DU will not be releasing any cut off after DU third cutoff 2021.

This year, over eight colleges have set their cutoffs at 100% cutoff for 10 courses in the first list. The process of admission for the DU first cutoff list ended at 11:59 pm on October 8, the last day to make payments. Until that time, 36,130 students had paid their fees, as per official data. The DU affiliated colleges started releasing the DU second cut-off list from today; i.e. October 9, with principals warning that the decline in the asking marks won’t be more than 0.5 per cent to one per cent. Jesus and Mary College was the first college to release the second cutoff. However, it has released the cutoff for only three courses. As per the JMC 1st cutoff list, a cutoff of 100 per cent was set for  BSc (H) Computer Science and 99.75% in Bcom (H) as well as Economics(H). For Psychology course, JMC has set 100% cut off. The DU First cut-off for JMC this year has increased by 1.75 percentage points, in both the BCom and Bcom (Hons.) courses. For the Mathematics programme, the cut-off has risen by 0.5 percentage points— from 95% to 95.5%
