Limited Seats, Register Now!#DUStudentsDemandOBE, #DUStudentsneedOBE is trending on Twitter, with students pouring in their requests to have an option to appear for their final exams in the OBE format, which DU conducts as an online exam. Students were making this demand for some time now, however, with the sudden spike in COVID-19 cases, they have got one more reason to ask for the same.
Students have been demanding that DU conduct the May June Semester exams 2022 in Online mode as many classes and lectures are still being conducted online. Many took to Twitter to share their experiences of online classes taking place despite all colleges reopening for physical classes.
One such Twitter user wrote "How is @UnivofDelhi planning to conduct exams offline and cram thousands of student into tiny classrooms for 4hrs just to prove their ego? Everyone knows that no covid protocols are observed neither maintained by the students nor the officials #DUStudentsWantOBE #DUStudentsNeedOBE"
Another user stated, "Our classes are being held online, then exam should be held online too. Why is DU not understanding that our demand is genuine for OBE?". Students have also stated that if online OBE exams are not possible, an option for the hybrid mode of exam should be provided, especially for outstation students. Hashtags and trends such as - #OBEforallSemestersinDU and #DUStudentsWantOBE are also being used widely by students.
Everyone around is understanding the problems of Delhi University Students except the Delhi University Administration. This is ridiculous. @UnivofDelhi I hope you understand our problems too #PradhanJiHelpDUStudentWithOBE #DUStudentsNeedOBE
In February, DU announced that the first-year examinations will appear for Online OBE exams, and the second year and final year students will have to appear for offline exams.
