#DUExams2021: Students demand cancellation of DU Exams 2021; urge to reopen campus
DU students have taken to Twitter to express their disappointment with hashtags #DUExam2021 and #ReopenDU.
Delhi University is all set to hold the third, fifth and seventh-semester exams for the undergraduate and postgraduate courses from November 30, 2021. The Delhi University will be holding the exam in open-book format in online mode. However, students from the varsity are not happy with the Delhi University's decision to hold exams and have now taken to social media asking the varsity to cancel the exams. The students demanded the University to reopen the college first stating that online classes or exams don't have the same impact as offline classes.
Delhi University has been demanding the reopening of campus for some time now. With India achieving the 100 crore milestone in its COVID-19 inoculation drive, several students from Delhi University have been demanding reopening of campus for offline classes. It must be noted that the Delhi University campus has been kept closed since March 2020 due to the COVID-19 outbreak and with the significant decline in the positive cases students now wish to return to the classroom for physical classes.
Delhi University will also be conducting the exams for essential repeaters of the 1st, 3rd and 5th semester and the ex-students of all the undergraduate and postgraduate students.
As per the official notification, "the exams for the students of 3rd, 5th, 7th-semester along with essential repeaters of 1st, 3rd and 5th semester and ex-students of all UG and PG programmes including the exams for students registered with the School of Open Learning and Non- Collegiate Women Education Board will begin from November 30th, 2021."
