IGNOU virtual MBA programme will be offered in five different specializations such as Human Resource Management, Financial Management, Marketing Management, Operations Management and Services Management.

IGNOU Virtual MBA: The School of Management Studies (SOMS), Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has introduced a virtual Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Candidates interested in IGNOU virtual MBA programme must note that the online MBA programme of the university has been designed with an aim to reach the masses and provide inclusive quality education. The duration of the virtual management programme is two years, and the maximum duration is four years.

IGNOU virtual MBA programme will be offered in five different specializations such as Human Resource Management, Financial Management, Marketing Management, Operations Management and Services Management.

In its official circular, IGNOU said, "Learners have to complete 28 courses spanning across four semesters and having 116 credits. With affordable fees, the programme is offered internationally through the online mode."

Students can apply for IGNOU online MBA programme in the January 2022 admission cycle. In order to be eligible for IGNOU virtual MBA programme, Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree with at least 50 per cent marks (45 per cent for reserved category). No entrance test is required to take admission in IGNOU online MBA. More details on eligibility, fee structure, etc. are available on the official website- ignouiop.samarth.edu.in.

The notice further reads, "Multiple media will be used for delivery of MBA (Online) programme, which includes Self-Study Material in Digital Form, asynchronous and synchronous counselling, sessions through GyanDarshan, Mobile App, Social media platforms, Gyanvani, and with e-mail support.”

The programme is being coordinated by Professor Rajeev Kumar Shukla and Dr. Venkataiah Chittipaka, SOMS, IGNOU.
