Important points related to JMI entrance exam result:

• The rank list is prepared as per the scores obtained by the candidates in the entrance test for various programmes keeping in mind the rules of reservations and relaxations.

Candidates who have been selected are advised to complete their admission formalities before the date notified as per the schedule. The result of the candidate should be complete in all respects on the day of admission. Students are also required to bring their Admit Card issued for the Entrance Test and attested copies of the following documents, along with the originals, at the time of admission. Candidates are required to bring the self-attested copies of the following certificates as well as their original copies at the time of admission.

Some important points related to JMI exam counselling are mentioned below:

• The list of selected candidates, as well as those on the waiting list, is displayed on the official website.
• Candidates will not be informed separately by post.
• Selected candidates for interviews will be displayed in ascending order of their roll number of entrance exams.
• Additional lists of candidates selected from the waiting list will be displayed as per their merit list.
• JMI may also conduct spot registration for admission from the list of selected and waitlisted candidates.
• In case where there are many courses/branches, candidates will be allotted as per the preference filled in the application form.
• For upgrading the course/branch, candidates have to fill a form at the time of admission if they want to retain the allotted course/branch or want to upgrade.
• Upgradation of course/branch will be done on the basis of merit.
• The original certificates will be returned after verification.
• Selected candidates will have to fill ‘Student Registration Form’.
• The form can be obtained from the concerned Dean’s office/Department/Centre). They need to fill the form by giving all the details and also indicate their choice for courses.

After downloading the answer key, candidates can calculate their score by following the marking scheme prescribed by the examination authority. Candidates should assign the marks allotted to a particular question if they have marked it correctly. If the answer happens to be incorrect, they should deduct the marks assigned for the wrong answer. The score can be calculated based on the number of answers marked correctly in the exam.

The entrance exam for admission in courses offered at AJK Mass Communication Research Centre (MCRC) consists of two sections – A and B.

Candidates clearing the interview rounds are then be offered admission in their respective courses offered at Jamia Millia Islamia University on the basis of merit. • Marksheet of qualifying exam (Class 12, graduation, postgraduation)
• Age proof based on the certificate of high school/secondary school or equivalent examination

Candidates should follow the below-mentioned steps:

• Candidates can submit their objections against the JMI answer key within 48 hours after the same is published through electronic means.
• Candidates need to pay INR 500 per programme to challenge the answer key.
• No grievance will be entertained without fee payment.
• The examination authority will not entertain any requests submitted after the expiry of the time frame.

Given below are some of the instructions that a candidate must follow:

• The ticket should have a self-attested coloured passport size photograph affixed on it. Without the photograph, the candidate will not be allowed to sit for the entrance exam.
• JMI Admit Card is useful for only one shift of the exam.
• No late entries will be allowed.
• If you are found practising any unfair means during the exam duration, you will be disqualified from the exam.
• No electronic items are allowed in the examination hall.
• Candidates are advised to reach the exam centre at least half an hour before the scheduled time.
• No written or print material like books/notepads/registers/magazines will be allowed in the exam hall.

After downloading the admit card for Jamia Millia Islamia entrance exam, aspirants need to take a clear print of their JMI admit card and place their latest passport-sized coloured photograph at the required place, otherwise they will not be allowed to take the test.

Performance in Jamia Millia Entrance Exam 2023 is an important component for consideration in the selection process and the selection process varies according to the course. For some UG and PG courses, merit list of candidates is released on the basis of performance in written test and they are called for counseling while in some courses selected candidates are called for next level of examination i.e. interview and group discussion and then a fresh list of candidates selected in both the phases is released. 

No change in the category will be entertained after JMI 2023 registration. Hence, the candidates are required to give due care while registering. Along with the JMI admit card, candidates will have to carry valid identity proof to the exam centre such as Aadhar Card or Voter ID or Driving License. The candidate must reach the exam centre at least one hour before the scheduled time. Once the exam is conducted, candidates are advised to keep the JMI admit card as it will be required during counselling as well.

The result of JMI Entrance Exam is announced at the official website of controller of examination of Jamia Millia Islamia. Candidates who appear for the JMI Entrance Exam can download their scorecards from the official website. To check the JMI 2023 entrance exam results, click on Admission Result tab. Candidates need to appear in the CUET UG exam to get admission in some of the undergraduate courses of Jamia Millia Islamia. The exam schedule for Mass Communication programmes is given below:

Based on the performance of Written Test of JMI entrance exam (Stage 1) a merit list will be prepared of selected candidates. Qualified candidates will appear for Group Discussion and Interview. 'Result2' will be prepared on the basis of Group Discussion and Interview. Final list of selected candidates will be prepared on the basis of 'Result-1' and 'Result-2'.

The PG programme exam pattern indicates that the question paper will be divided into two halves (like with the UG test) and that students will be asked 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) or subjective questions for a maximum of 100 points.

The exam pattern for all the undergraduate programmes:

• According to the test format for the JMI Entrance Exam UG programme, the question paper will most likely consist of 100 MCQ-type questions with a maximum score of 100.
• The question paper is divided into two parts, Part A and Part B, and the total time to complete the paper is 1 hour and 45 minutes.

There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in the Objective Type/Multiple Choice questions in all programs of the University. Hence, candidates should understand the question carefully before answering as candidates obtaining less than 15% marks in the Objective Type/ Multiple Choice questions will not be shortlisted for interview/admission.

For the mass communication programme, candidates need to attempt 200 questions within 3-hour. The questions will be of objective type (Multiple-choice questions) and descriptive type will be asked. Make sure to thoroughly go through the answers before submitting them as there is a provision of negative marking.
