The newly launched Hospital Management programme is a one-year programme delivered by IIMBx. Altogether 20 doctors and administrators across Karnataka have been handpicked to participate in this year-long programme which was launched at Arogya Soudha.
IIM Bangalore launches Hospital Management Programme
Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore digital learning initiative IIMBx launched the ‘Professional Certificate in Hospital Management’ programme for doctors and hospital administrators managing Government hospitals across districts of Karnataka. The newly launched Hospital Management programme is a one-year programme delivered by IIMBx. Altogether 20 doctors and administrators across Karnataka have been handpicked to participate in this year-long programme which was launched at Arogya Soudha. According to the official press release, Dinesh Gundu Rao, Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Government of Karnataka, was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
“I am sure that the participants of this structured course would acquire crucial management skills to handle various aspects including conflict management, finance, operations, etc., to enhance processes and govern the hospitals more efficiently, thereby serving the people of Karnataka. I look forward to this becoming a long and productive innings, and the beginning of a wonderful learning journey for all stakeholders,” Dinesh Gundu Rao, said.
Rishikesha T Krishnan, Director, IIM Bangalore, thanking Dinesh Gundu Rao for taking this progressive step, termed the launch as a landmark in the evolution of online programmes offered by IIMB. “It has always been the aspiration of IIMB to impact healthcare providers of the Government sector. This specially designed programme with tailor made courses in Hospital Management has been curated with the support of Dr Devi Prasad Shetty, (Chairman & Founder of Narayana Health and Chairperson, Board of Governors, IIM Bangalore). I hope to see this engagement bloom into a long-term association with the healthcare department of the Government of Karnataka.”
