The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Sambalpur on its 10th foundation day, announced its plan to incorporate artificial intelligence (AI) into classrooms. This initiative aims to transform how students learn and acquire knowledge, marking a significant step towards modernizing educational practices.

Vision for Women’s Empowerment

During the event, Professor Mahadeo Jaiswal, Director of IIM Sambalpur, expressed that the implementation of AI will create a more dynamic learning environment. He also revealed plans to organize a Women’s Empowerment Summit in February, aligning with the goals of Viksit Bharat. Professor Jaiswal thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for their contributions to establishing the institute.

Recognition and Achievements

The event featured Uday A. Kaole, Chairman and Managing Director of MCL, as the chief guest. He congratulated IIM Sambalpur for its achievements and commended Professor Jaiswal for his effective leadership. Other notable speakers included Dr. Anurag Batra, Nishita Baliarsingh, co-founder & CEO at Nexus Power, and Anindya Ghosh, Associate Partner at IBM.

Launch of IDE Bootcamp Second Edition

Coinciding with the foundation day, IIM Sambalpur launched the second edition of the Innovation, Design, and Entrepreneurship (IDE) Bootcamp Phase 1. This initiative, running until September 27, 2024, is organized by the Ministry of Education, AICTE, and the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC). The Bootcamp aims to foster innovation and entrepreneurial skills among student innovators across India.

Nationwide Engagement

The Bootcamp is being hosted simultaneously across nine prestigious institutions, engaging over 3,000 student innovators and Innovation Ambassadors from higher education institutions nationwide. This collaborative effort underscores the importance of nurturing creativity and design thinking among students.

Showcasing Innovation

As part of the celebrations, an exhibition was held featuring over 70 startups from across the country. The exhibition showcased unique products in various sectors, including technology, agriculture, and healthcare, highlighting the innovative spirit and entrepreneurial potential of Indian youth.
