NMAT 2023 Day-1 Exam Analysis

Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) started NMAT test on October 10. Last day of the NMAT test is set as December 19. Candidates who took the NMAT exam on the first day of the testing window have expressed their thoughts on the exam. NMAT test takers on the first day found a reduction in the number of reading comprehensions from 3 passages to 2 passages across all exam shifts of first day. Logical section of the NMAT exam was time-consuming. On the contrary, weightage of questions in the NMAT quant section has also changed. Test takers found the difficulty level on similar lines to that of the past year’s test papers.

Section-Wise NMAT Exam Analysis 2023

NMAT exam has three sections, all of which have equal question weightage. Additionally, each section of the NMAT exam is to be completed within a specified time, that is to say, NMAT exam has sectional time-limit. From the past exam sessions, four questions from the RC part of the Language Skills was reduced. Whereas, weightage in other topics of the section was increased.

The number of questions in Data Interpretation was reduced to two sets. Earlier exam sessions recorded three sets for DI under NMAT Quant section.

NMAT Exam Window available until December 19

The NMAT exam window is available from October 10 to December 19, which means candidates have a total of 88 days to take the exam. During this NMAT test window, candidates can take the exam three times. Each attempt of NMAT exam must be within the specified exam window. Additionally, subsequent attempts at the exam can only be scheduled for a date 15 days after the previous attempt.
