TANCET 2022 Supplementary Counselling for MBA Ends

DTE, Chennai, conducted the TANCET supplementary counselling to fill vacant seats for MBA courses at TANCET participating institutes today. Nearly 8500 seats were to be filled under the supplementary counselling round.

The Directorate of Technical Education has completed the TANCET supplementary counselling to fill MBA vacant seats after the general counselling process. Nearly 12000 MBA seats were to be filled using the TANCET MBA ranks. However, with the end of general counselling on September 11, 8558 MBA seats were left vacant to fill via the supplementary counselling and the SCA to SC counselling rounds. DTE conducted the in-person TANCET supplementary counselling at GCT Coimbatore. Candidates had to report at 9 AM today, along with the relevant documents.

What After TANCET Supplementary Counselling?

DTE conducts one supplementary counselling round to fill all the vacant seats after the general counselling process. With the end of the supplementary counselling round, DTE is set to conduct the SCA to SC counselling round. Using the SCA to SC counselling round, the vacant seats under the SCA category are allotted to SC category candidates. However, several conditions apply for allotment of seats under SCA to SC conversion counselling. Conditions to get the allotment under SCA to SC counselling are as follows:

• Candidates must belong to SC category only
• Candidates must have a TANCET allotment order issued under the general/supplementary counselling round
• There shouldn’t be any vacant seat for SC category in the desired college
• There must be a vacant seat under SCA category in the desired college

Identical to the supplementary counselling round, SCA to SC counselling round will be conducted in-person at GCT Coimbatore. Candidates need to report at 10 AM for MCA admission and 11 AM for MBA admission on September 15.
