NEET PG 2023 Postponement: Supreme Court to provide judgement on Monday
After hearing the arguments of both sides including Centre and NEET PG 2023 postponement petitioners, the top court of India has posted the case for Monday, February 27, 2023. A bench comprising Justices S Ravindra Bhat and Dipankar Datta heard the matter. The court said that it is not passing any order either way and keeping the issue open till the next date of hearing.
Supreme Court has listed the NEET PG 2023 postponement case on Monday for final judgement. After hearing both the party the court has asked NBE to come up with certain information and a solution. Accordingly, it adjourned the hearing till Monday, February 27, 2023.
The court has said that it is not passing any order either way and keeping the issue open till the next hearing.
Pospone NEET PG 2023: Supreme Court Proceedings' Details
Senior Advocate Gopal Sankaranarayanan said on behalf of petitioners in the court that there are 13 petitioners before your lordships.. but about 45,000 others would be affected.
Justice Bhat said about registration that those who have already completed and waiting for this are larger in number.
On this Gopal Sankaranarayanan said, "This might not be true as those who have completed would be in the minority."
"This postponement happened subsequently. Before postponement many were eligible. Apart from you 2 lakh others applied who were eligible under the old cut-off date," said Justice Bhat, as reported by Live Law.
Gopal Sankaranarayanan said in the court, "The gap now between exam and counselling is 5 months now. Previously it was one month. As a consequence we are getting less time... We are asking the exam to be pushed a little. It was pushed last year."
On this Judge replied that first you say you are not eligible. When you were made eligible, you say there is no time for exam.
