NMC has responded to the NEET PG 2023 postponement case in Telangana high court and said that the exam will be conducted on the scheduled date i.e. March 5, 2023. Telangana high court had asked National Medical Commission (NMC) to reconsider the NEET PG 2023 exam date and now the Commission has responded to the court's direction and said that the exam will be conducted on March 5, 2023, without any deferment. NMC has disposed off the NEET PG 2023 postponement representations dated February 17 and February 20, 2023.

NMC said that there were two representations submitted to demand NEET PG 2023 postponement, one on February 17 by Pathem Murali Krishna to the Director, Medical Education, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare with a copy to Chairman, NMC, and another one on February 20, 2023, where Pathem Murali Krishna and Gumpula Aravind Sai submitted their representation to NMC.

As per the Commission, the representation of applicants was thoroughly examined in pursuance of the direction given by the Telangana high court on February 15, 2023. The date of the exam was already fixed well in advance which is 6 months in advance, cut-off date for internship completion is also extended to August 11, 2023. All the preparations are over and the test is to be conducted at more than 800 centres for more than 2 lakh students, said NMC.

"Representations dated 20.02.2023 and 17.02.2023 are disposed off and it is informed that exam will be conducted on the scheduled date i.e. March 5, 2023, and this comply the Order/Judgement dated 15.02.2023 of the Hon'ble high court of Telangana in the matter of WPN 4213/2023 filed by Pathem Murali Krishna vs. Union of India & Ors," reads NMC's official notification.
