As per the report, the Telangana high court has directed the Centre to reconsider the NEET PG 2023 exam dates and a two weeks time has been given for the same. The doctors have been protesting to postpone NEET PG 2023 which is scheduled for March 5, 2023. Students have also filed a case in Supreme Court.

Reportedly, Telangana high court has directed the Central government to reconsider the NEET PG 2023 exam dates. For this, the court has given a two-week time to the National Medical Commission (NMC).

After the court proceedings, it is expected that the NMC will now come up with a new date for the NEET PG 2023 exam.

Dr Rohan Krishnan, the National Chairman of the Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) tweeted, "NEET PG dates should be reconsidered as per the order of Telangana High Court. @NMC_IND given two wks for the same. it is more likely that they will come up with a New date & not go to SC. I pray to @mansukhmandviya Sir to gv a date of MAY - JUNE!"

NEET PG 2023: Telangana high court's proceedings highlights

The court disposed of the plea filed by the NEET PG 2023 aspirants initially, and then NMC communicated to the court that they are not planning to postpone NEET PG 2023. However, after seeing the merits of the issue, the court observed that the NMC's actions are a bit illegal. The court has asked NMC to consider the exam postponement and come up with its decision in two weeks. The Commission has agreed to the court's statement and it is expected to reconsider the exam date of NEET PG 2023.
