JMI’s Department of Psychology organizes Industry-Academia Interface 2024

Prof. Sheema Aleem, Head of the Department of Psychology, JMI welcomed the distinguished speakers, faculty, and students to the meeting. 

The Placement Cell, Department of Psychology, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) organized an Industry-Academia Interface, 2024 on February 26, 2024 in the Committee Room, Office of the Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, JMI. The purpose of the interface was to bridge the gap between theory and practice and acquire students with insights to thrive in the world of work.

Prof. Sheema Aleem, Head, of the Department of Psychology, JMI welcomed the distinguished speakers, faculty, and students to the meeting. She encouraged students to engage with the panel of speakers to develop real-world insights into applications of psychological knowledge in varied professions. Mr Vikas Shukla a talent scientist at IBM’s Workforce Science Center of Excellence, Dr Upasana Chaddha Vij founder of Mindscape Centre for Counseling and Ms Tarannum Khan an analyst at Salto Dee Fe shared their expertise, wealth of experience and commitment to the intersection of psychology and industry.

The engagement of students in the meeting reflected their curiosity, interest, and passion towards the fusion of their discipline and their future work life, according to the official statement. 

JMI's American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) organises Technical Fest “Thrive 2.0” 

The international student's chapter of the professional technical society, the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) of the Department of Civil Engineering, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), organized a Technical Festival “Thrive 2.0” on March 1, 2024, to commemorate India’s endeavour for Viksit Bharat.

Dr. Ibadur Rahman, Assistant Professor, Faculty Advisor (ASCE) & Technical Fest Coordinator gave a warm Welcome Address, emphasizing on the pivotal role of civil engineering in shaping the modern world, underscoring its significance in infrastructure development, sustainability, and societal progress.
