Q: Â What is the required educational qualification for applying to DRDO CEPTAM?
The educational qualification is different for different posts. For Tech A post, the required educational qualification is Class 10 with certification from ITI in relevant trade. For A & A post, candidates applying to the posts of Clerk, Asstt Halwai-cum Cook, Vehicle Operator, Fire Engine Driver, Fireman must have passed Class 10 while for Stenographer, Administrative Assistant (English Typing), Administrative Assistant (Hindi Typing), Store Assistant, A (English Typing), Store Assistant (Hindi Typing), Security Assistant posts, the educational qualification is Class 12. For MTS, & candidates must have passed Class 10 or equivalent from a recognised board or Industrial Training Institute (ITI).

What is CEPTAM?
DRDO CEPTAM is conducted by the Centre for Personnel Talent Management (CEPTAM) of Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO). CEPTAM conducts the exam for recruitment of Technical, Administrative & Allied category non-gazetted personnel. CEPTAM is a corporate body of DRDO established as Personnel Assessment Centre (PEACE) to cater to DRTC Cadre (Technical Staff) of DRDO. The centre is responsible for the recruitment of Technical, Administrative & Allied category staff, assessment and facilitates training for this cadre.

DRDO CEPTAM Notification 2024
DRDO CEPTAM notification 2024 for various posts is released online. The selection process of A&A post comprises Tier 1 (Computer Based Test), Tier 2 (Trade/Skill/Physical Fitness and Capability Test) and Tier 3 (Descriptive in Nature). Earlier, DRDO CEPTAM 10 DRTC notification for Senior Technical Assistant-B (STA-B) and Technician-a (tech-a) posts was released. For the post of STA-B, the selection process will consist of Tier–I (Screening) and Tier-II (Final Selection). For the post of Tech-A for DRDO CEPTAM 10 recruitment, the selection process will consist of Tier–I (CBT) and Tier-II (Trade Test).

DRDO CEPTAM Eligibility Criteria 2024
To be eligible for DRDO CEPTAM, candidates need to fulfil the following eligibility criteria in terms of educational qualification and age limit. The eligibility criteria are different for different posts. The post-wise DRDO CEPTAM eligibility criteria are given below:
DRDO CEPTAM 10 DRTC Eligibility Criteria
Senior Technical Assistant-B (sta-b): The age limit for this post is 18 and 28 years. The educational qualification is a bachelor’s degree in Science Or Diploma in Engineering or Technology or Computer Science or Allied Subjects, recognised by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), in the required Discipline.
Technician (Tech-A): The age limit for this post is 18 and 28 years. Candidates must have passed Class 10 from a recognised Board or Institute and have Certificate from a recognised Industrial Training Institute in the required discipline/Certificate of minimum one-year duration from a recognised Institution in the required discipline if the Industrial Training Institutes do not award Certificate in that discipline/National Trade Certificate in the required discipline/Or National Apprenticeship Certificate in the required discipline.
DRDO CEPTAM Eligibility Criteria for A&A post
Age limit: Candidate must be between 18 and 27 Years of age. The age is relaxed for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/ESM/PWD/widows/divorced women/women judicially separated from their husbands who are not remarried).

DRDO CEPTAM Eligibility Criteria for MTS post
Candidates must have passed Class 10 or equivalent exam from a recognised board or ITI. The age of candidates should be between 18 and 25 years.Â
DRDO CEPTAM Selection Process
The complete process of DRDO CEPTAM is explained below.
Stage 1: Application Process
Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria are required to fill DRDO CEPTAM application. Applicants need to fill the application form online. Candidates need to first register for the exam. After the successful generation of user ID and password, candidates are able to fill the other details in the application form.
Stage 2: Issue of DRDO CEPTAM Admit Card
The admit card of CEPTAM is released online separately for different phases of the exam. Candidates can access their DRDO CEPTAM admit cards from the official website by logging with the required credentials. DRDO CEPTAM admit card includes details such as name, date of birth, category, exam venue, date, time of exam, etc.
Stage 3: Appearing in the exam
The entrance exam comprises various stages. DRDO CEPTAM exam for all posts is conducted in two stages: Tier-I and II. The exam pattern is different for different posts. Before final selection, candidates are required to appear in the document verification.

The result of DRDO CEPTAM is announced online on the official website. To check DRDO CEPTAM result, candidates are required to login using the post applied for, application number and captcha code.
DRDO CEPTAM Exam Centres
The examination authority prescribes DRDO CEPTAM exam centres for Tier 1 and 2 exam. Candidates can choose any three cities from the list of exam centres in order of their preference for Tier 1 exam. Once the candidates exercise the option of exam centres, it is treated as final and cannot be changed. The examination authority reserves the right to add/delete any exam centre and allot candidates to a centre other than the one chosen by them. Candidates are not required to choose DRDO CEPTAM exam centre for Tier 2 (Trade Test). The exam cities for Tier 2 are decided based on the operational requirements.Â
DRDO CEPTAM Syllabus
The first and foremost step towards preparation is understanding the DRDO CEPTAM syllabus. The syllabus comprises topics under different sections such as Quantitative ability/aptitude, General intelligence & Reasoning ability, General awareness, General Science, Arithmetic & Numerical Ability, etc. The syllabus of DRDO CEPTAM is of Class 10 and 12 standards. Q: Â What is DRDO CEPTAM marking scheme for A and A post?
DRDO CEPTAM for Admin and Allied posts consists of Tier 1 and Tier 2 stages. The CBT in Tier 1 will have multiple choice based questions. The medium of CBT exam will be in both Hindi and English languages. Tier 1 exam is provisional in nature. Tier 2 exam will consist of Skill/Physical fitness and Capability Test, for applicable posts. Tier 2 exam is qualifying in nature. For the post of Junior Translation Officer, Tier 2 exam will be descriptive in nature. There will be no negative marking in CEPTAM exam. The CEPTAM syllabus will be according to the required educational qualification for the specific post.

Q: Â What is the marking scheme for DRDO CEPTAM STA B post?
DRDO CEPTAM for Technical Cadre (Senior Technical Assistant-B and Technician-A) consists of Tier 1 and Tier 2 stages. For Senior Technical Assistant-B (STA-B) post, the selection process will include Tier 1 (Screening) and Tier 2 (Final selection). For STA-B position, both Tier 1 and Tier 2 CBT exams will consist of objective type multiple choice-based questions. For Technician-A (Tech-A) post, the selection process will include Tier-1 (CBT) and Tier-2 (Trade Test) stages. The Tier-1 CBT for Tech-A post will include multiple choice-based questions. The Tier-1 CBT exam is for provisional selection. The Tier-2 Trade Test will be based on ITI level in the related trade and evaluates practical skills of candidates. The Tier-2 Trade Test is qualifying in nature and is for final selection. There will be no negative marking in the exam. The exam will be conducted in both English and Hindi medium.
