CG PAT 2024: Application Form (Over), Admit Card (Out), Exam Date, Pattern, Syllabus & Other Updates

The Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board, Raipur conducts Pre Agriculture Test commonly known as CG PAT for admissions to Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Agriculture and Horticulture offered at the affiliated colleges to Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya (IGKV). The entrance exam is held in a pen-paper based tets mode across more than 35 test centres in Chhattisgarh. The question paper of CG PAT is based on three subject groups - Agriculture Group; Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM) Group; and Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) Group.

The admit card of CG PAT 2024 was released by the authorities in online mode on May 31. 2024. Students can download the hall ticket by entering their login credentials mobile number and password. After downloading the admit card applicants are advised to check for the discrepancies mentioned on it and ensure that all the details are correct. 

The admission process through the CG Pre-Admission Test (CG PAT) will be as under: 

Step 1: Fill the CG PAT Application Form

For CG PAT 2024 registrations, candidates need to fill the application form in the online mode on the official website of the exam. After filling the form, candidates could pay the CG PAT 2024 application fee in online mode (via debit/ credit card/ net banking).

Step 2: Download CG PAT Admit Card

Candidates will be able to download their CG PAT 2024 admit card from the official website of CG Vyapam by entering their registration ID/ number. CG PAT admit card is a mandatory document that aspirants need to carry to the exam centre.

Step 3: Appear for CG PAT Exam

Candidates needs to appear for CG PAT 2024 exam at the allotted exam centre. In the exam, candidates were given multiple-choice questions that they needed to complete in a duration of 2.15 hours. Aspirants sitting for the entrance exam next year are advised to go through the CG PAT exam pattern and marking scheme along with the syllabus to help better prepare for the test.

Step 4: Check CG PAT Result

The CG PAT 2024 result is expected to be announced in the fisrt week of August, 2024. To check the CG PAT result, candidates need to enter their roll number on the official website.

Thereafter, CG PAT merit list will appear on the screen. Shortlisted candidates will then be called for counselling at Chhattisgarh colleges in their preferred Science courses.

Step 5: Counselling

After the declaration of the CG PAT results, candidates who have qualified for the entrance exam will be called for counselling at the campus. The candidate will have to bring in their required documents to complete the admission process.

To fulfill the CG PAT 2024 eligibility criteria, candidates should meet the below-mentioned parameters:

• Candidates should have passed the Class 12 qualifying examination from any national or state board of education. 
• They should have studied PCM or Physics, Chemistry, Life Sciences/ Agricultural Science and Agricultural Mathematics/ Crop Production and Horticulture as mandatory subjects.
• There is no minimum marks requirement mentioned for the qualifying examination by CG Vyapam.

As per the pattern of the CG PAT exam, it is a paper-pencil-based test of three hours duration. The total number of questions is 200. There will be three sections, wherein two sections carry 60 questions and one section carries 80 questions. Each question is of one mark and there is no negative marking scheme. The questions are objective type and carry multiple-choice questions. The medium of the exam is English and Hindi. Candidates need to opt for their preferred language while filling the application form.

CG Vyapam releases the CG PAT syllabus prior to the exam. The syllabus of CG PAT has remained the same over the past years. Candidates planning to appear for the exam must go through the syllabus for preparation purpose. The important topics of each subject are enlisted within the syllabus of CG PAT.

The CG PAT 2024 answer keys will be released in two stages. The model or provisional answer keys will be released in the third week of July, tentatively. Candidates will get the chance to submit challenges against the model answer keys. The final answer keys will be  released on the official website along with the result in the fisrt week of August, tentatively. 

CG PAT 2024 Question Paper

The CG PAT question papers will be released on the day of the exam by the CG Vyapam. The CG PAT 2024 question paper is expected to carry 200 questions of 200 marks from three subjects of the Science and Agriculture groups. Candidates preparing for the next year's exam must practice from the CG PAT question papers to be familiar with the exam pattern and question types. CG Vyapam also releases previous years' CG PAT question papers on the official website.

The CG PAT result 2024 is expected to be declared in the fist week of August, tentatively. Candidates can check and download their results and scorecards online by entering their roll numbers. Upon logging in, candidates can download their scorecards in PDF format and preserve them till the admission process is completed. The CG PAT 2024 result or scorecard carried information such as candidates' personal details, subject-wise and overall scores and rank. 

The CG PAT 2024 counselling process has started as per the official website. Students who qualify for the CG PAT 2024 Exam, only they will receive an invitation for the counselling process. On August 28, 2024, the CG PAT 2024 Provisional Seat and allotted colleges list was released. The selected candidates need to report to Agriculture College, Raipur, for the document verification process. 

As part of the CG PAT counselling process, candidates needed to register and upload documents. Upon the verification of documents, they will be allotted seats, which they have to accept by paying the requisite fee. Generally, three rounds of counselling are conducted and a fourth or a mop-up round will be conducted depending on the number of vacant seats. 

The exam authorities will announce the names of the top 10 CG PAT 2024 toppers after the exam will be conducted. The following table brings the details of the CG PAT toppers of the academic session 2022-2023.
