    It Is a Good Experience at Pondicherry University, and I'm Glad to Have a Seat.
    Placements: In my course, we have about 52 students, and there are no placements available. However, they suggest some internships and UGC NET preparation, providing guidance about our future. They recommend internships at AFIST and NIFTEM. Additionally, we have another course, Food Technology, in our department.
    Infrastructure: Our facilities include campus Wi-Fi and various labs specific to our subject, along with different machines for the preparation and development of new food products. Each classroom is air-conditioned. Regarding the hostel, they charge ₹75 per day. Unfortunately, the food is not what we expected, and hygiene is not well maintained by the kitchen staff. We do have a health center to treat severe cases, along with several sports grounds and teams for games.
    Faculty: The teachers are well-experienced and share valuable knowledge. They suggest various options based on our interests and are qualified, with over 20 years of experience. They are well-mannered and friendly, providing guidance on industry-related matters. The exams are good and strict, with the percentage calculated based on the top-scored marks.
    Other: I chose this course because I love food science, and my bachelor’s degree is also in the same field. I aspire to be a food safety officer and am interested in both industry and dietetics. Our college is full of enjoyable festivals and programs, allowing us to explore different cultures and interact with diverse people. Campus life is wonderful; we learn many different things, making it a good experience overall. The scholarship department offers merit scholarships for those who achieve top marks, and students can also apply for scholarships from their respective states.

    It provides good location, experienced professors, and well-equipped laboratories.
    Placements: This college has good placements in our department. Various companies visit our campus to hire students. But students prefer to go for government jobs or set up their diabetics' clinic.
    Infrastructure: It provides Wi-Fi, big mess, and there is a medical health center in this university. It also provides various sports courts and stadiums. Many games events are conducted.
    Faculty: It has well-experienced professors and management available in the department. It has a CBCS curriculum based on 2019 guidelines, and exams are good if students learn something.
    Other: This university is located beside the beach and has an excellent environment. Students from different states get a chance to learn new languages, and about their cultures.

    Ready it, think it, and decide on your career.
    Placements: No placements are provided by our department. During our final semester, there are no subjects for studying; only project work for the last semester. During this time, we can do an internship in the food-related industry or hospitals if our guide allows it. In our department, there will be project work based on our guide’s research areas.
    Infrastructure: There are hostels available for both boys and girls. All hostels have Wi-Fi connections and water connections. In a room, three persons will be accommodated. In our department, almost all classes are air-conditioned and have power point connections and seating arrangements. The department alone doesn’t have any library, but the university has a big common library that we can access during weekdays. For practical work, we have lab facilities, though they are not that well-developed. All hostelers have food in the mess, with chicken served twice a week, eggs twice a week, and vegetarian food on other days.
    Faculty: All faculty members are well-qualified, all holding Ph.D. degrees and having excellent publications in their research fields. The teaching quality is average according to me. The curriculum of these courses prepares students not only for the food industry but also for the hospital field, such as Nutrition, Dietetics, etc. There is no difficulty level in semester examinations; if we study, we can get good scores. Marks are calculated out of 100, and the passing marks should be above 50.

    Pondichery university is a central university which admits students to most of the courses through a common admission test called CUET. Some of the courses have specific entrance exams. The syllabus will be available in the university website.
