APEdCET Exam Pattern 2025: The exam conducting body, Andhra University, Vishakhapatnam on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education prescribes the APEdCET 2025 exam pattern. The pattern is mentioned in the exam notification and is released on its official website - cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/EDCET/Edcet/EDCET_HomePage.aspx. Candidates planning to take the APEdCET 2025 exam are advised to go through the pattern to understand the stages, sections, time duration, and the marking scheme of the exam. As per the exam pattern of APEdCET 2025, the test paper comprises questions in both English and Telugu (except for the English Methodology section). Candidates can also opt to take the APEdCET entrance exam in the Urdu language however, such aspirants can take the exam only in the Kurnool test center. The test paper for APEdCET 2025 contains objective-type multiple-choice questions of 150 marks which aspirants need to attempt in two hours duration. No, there is no negative marking in the APEdCET exam. As per the official notification released by the exam body Andhra Pradesh University on behalf of APSCHE no marks will be deducted if candidates attempt the wrong answer or leave the question unattended. Hence, candidates can attempt as many questions as they want without the stress of minus marking.

The test paper for the state-level education common entrance test is divided into three parts viz. Part A and Part B need to be attempted by all aspirants. APEdCET Marking Scheme

Candidates must know about the APEdCET marking scheme before appearing in the exam. This will held them to know how to attempt the questions, what are the scoring areas etc. We have shared the marking scheme of the APEdCET 2025 below:

  • For every correct reponse made by the candidate they will be given 1 mark.
  • There will be no negative marking in the exam for incorrect response.
  • However, if candidates marked two options in the same question, it will be considered as wrong answer.
  • No mark will be deducted if candidates leave a question unattended.

The qualifying marks in the Entrance Test for all candidates (except SC/ST) are 37 out of total marks (i.e. 25%). For the candidates belonging to SC/ST communities, there will be no qualifying marks for ranking. There will be no minimum qualifying marks for women in Physical Sciences / Mathematics methodologies.
