RIE CEE Application Form 2025: Check Registration Dates, Fees & How to Apply

The RIE CEE 2025 exam is conducted by the National Council of Educational Research & Training, (NCERT). It is a common entrance examination for the RIE (Regional Institute of Education). Candidates who qualify in the RIE CEE test will be eligible to get admission to B.Sc. B.Ed./B.Sc. Ed/B.A. B.Ed./M.Sc. Ed and B.Ed. (Two Year) Programs. 

The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) conducts the RIE CEE to shortlist candidates for the 2 Year teaching programs B.Ed, B.Ed-M. Ed. at Regional Institutes of Education (RIEs) in Ajmer, Bhubaneswar, Bhopal, Mysore, and Shillong.

As mentioned in the official notification of NCERT for RIE CEE to fill the RIE CEE application form, candidates must have cleared Class XII from a recognised board with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% marks for SC/ ST/ PH category candidates). The candidature of students who submit the application form without meeting the minimum eligibility criteria will be cancelled at the further stages of the admission process. Hence it is advised to students to adhere to the eligibility criteris set by the exam body.

The RIE CEE Eligibility Criteria is prescribed by the exam conducting body (National Council for Education Research and Training NCERT). The exam body sets the eligibility criteria for candidates who want to participate in the exam. Candidates who meet the minimum eligibility criteria can fill the application form or else their candidature might be rejected at the later stages.

There are various courses offered through RIE CEE exam. Some of the courses are BSc BEd/ BA BEd/ MSc Ed/ BEd/ MEd/ BEd-MEd (Integrated). The duration of these courses are different. Integrated BEd MEd course is of three years duration, BA B.Ed and BSc BEd courses are of four years duration, BEd and MEd courses are of two years and MSc Ed course is of six years duration.

The RIE CEE 2025 exam dates are yet to be released. However, as per past year 2024 session the RIE CEE exam was conducted on June 2025. So we can expect the NCERT to conduct the exam in June 2025. Qualified candidates can get admission in following Regional Institutes of Education (RIEs) such as RIE Bhopal, RIE Ajmer, RIE Bhubaneswar, RIE Mysore, Prarambh and RIE Shillong.

According to the exam pattern of RIE CEE mentioned in the official notification of the RIE CEE exam, the question paeprs consists of three sections. Language proficiency section consists of total 40 marks, Teaching Aptitude section consists of total 60 marks and Reasoning Ability section is 60 marks.

RIE CEE fees for general and OBC category candidates is INR 900 while for SC/ST/PH candidates the fee is INR 450. Candidates were supposed to pay the application fee of RIE CEE in online mode after filling the application form. 

Yes, there is a provision for scholarships in the RIE CEE exam. As per the exam body NCERT, after the RIE CEE result is declared, the exam body will provide scholarships to SC and ST candidates and 50% to remaining candidates. Notably, the scholarships will be awarded only to those candidates who submit a copy of their parent's income certificate.

The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), offer scholarships to students pursuing various programs including B.Ed. However, the specific scholarships available, eligibility criteria, and application procedures may vary from year to year and among the different Regional Institutes of Education (RIEs) in India. To get accurate information regarding scholarships for B.Ed. students at RIEs, students are advised to visit official website of respective RIE which they are interested in or contact the institution directly.

As mentioned in the official website of NCERT - The Government of India provides candidates belonging to certain categories reservation and they are admitted to seats reserved for them based on relaxed criteria. The following reservations are available - 

• SC 15%
• ST 7.5%
• OBC 27% (OBC candidates will have to attach a certificate from competent authority stating that they does not belong to Creamy Layer)
• PwD 5%
• EWS 10% 

Candidates applying under reservation quota will be considered only on basis of lists notified by Government of India and the category certificate/ PwD certificate in the format approved by GOI as well as issued by the competent authority.

Registered candidates were required to visit the alloted exam centre on the day of the exam. RIE CEE entrance exam contains 80 questions of 160 marks. Candidates were supposed to complete the exam in a duration of two hours.
