Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) (Hons.) - Batch of 2026

I am somewhat satisfied with the facilities provided by the college.
Placements: In our batch, around 85% of the students got placed with the highest salary package of 80 LPA, and the average salary package offered ranges from 6.5-7 LPA. Many MNCs and big companies like Google and Microsoft AWS visit the college for placements. Around 70% of students are easily able to get internships in various big and small companies.
Infrastructure: Classrooms in our department are of decent size with decent seating capacity, proper seats, and desks, along with proper podiums and screens for studying PPTs. There are around 60 students in a class. There is Wi-Fi all around the building, with short libraries in all buildings and a main library. The quality of the hostel is pretty nice. I opted for the 3-seater non-air-conditioned room, and the feel of that is 1 lakh Rs. 32,000 per year. The food in the mess is quite good and better than most university hostels.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. There are both good, decent, and bad teachers. Our batch has been lucky as we have got the majority of the good teachers. Exams are not that difficult, and they are in general on the intermediate difficult level. We have 3 exams throughout the semester that are mid-semester 1, mid-semester 2, and finals.

Not recommended to academically oriented people but great to find yourself.
Placements: For psychology there arent any placements as we cannot work after Bachelors. We require atleast a Masters degree to be a junior psychologist. But for other degrees, yes there are placements and everyone gets paced but the package might be poor as they do not guarantee a good package just a job.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is okay as there are no air conditions which is unfortunate and it hearts up a lot like crazy. Hostel infrastructure is good, they are safe. There is lift in some. The best hostel for girls is either LC or Shivalik. LC has a lot more open space as it used to be a boys hostel. Shivalik is the only girls hostel which has balconies.
Faculty: We are always understaffed and psychology is still a developing field. Sometimes people pursuing their Ph.D. teach us and they do not know how to teach. The curriculum is average. The teachers, some are really good while some are just terrible. It just really depends on your luck what teacher you get. But make sure to make good relations with your teachers as their is a lot of favouritism.
Other: Campus life is great, you should stay in hostel for a year atleast to experience that life.

B.Com. LL.B. (Hons.) - Batch of 2028

Review of Law department of Chandigarh University .
Placements: There are only 25-30 students who get placed in every batch from all departments, such as LL.B., B.A., LL.B., BBA LL.B., B.Com. LL.B, etc. B.Com. LL.B. (Hons.) is very weak compared to the total strength of the university. The average package is listed about 5 Lacs in their website but I believe it to be comparatively less. Most students were placed in law firms in Chandigarh or Delhi. As for law department, the placement record is not so good.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure provided by the university is top-class. A new library is opened this year in the department, and I would say this is a great step taken by the university. A projector is also provided in every classroom. Talking about hostel facilities, 4 seater rooms are generally available with cooler facilities. Mess food is also good, and canteen facilities are also provided in every corner of this university.
Faculty: Talking about the faculty of the university, most teachers are very professional. They have completed their graduation from Chandigarh University itself and are not really qualified in teaching well. They would not even recommend books to the students. PPTs will be provided that will cover the whole syllabus. The course curriculum is no doubt good. The semester exams are also not really difficult, as most questions come from PPTs. However, it does not make the students industry ready because of the qualified staff.

B.Sc. (Hons.) in Computer Science - Batch of 2024

Not how I expected, very below.
Placements: I have just joined and am in the first year, but the seniors told me if we work hard and study well, we will surely get a nice placement with a great package. It's all about how much we pay attention to our study; that's all that matters, and my senior got into Flipkart and Amazon.
Infrastructure: The facilities are very nice, although they don't have AC in some rooms, but they have it in others. They keep it on during winter too, so they are pretty mad about it. The building is very nice; there are shots of movies done there because of how nice the university looks.
Faculty: They are not very difficult; they are moderate, depending upon how much we really study. They will give us the marks if we only write in it; if not, they will deduct it and not even pass the student. They are bad if the student gets on the teacher's nerves.
Other: Nope.

The environment is warm and gives us a chance to address the competition.
Placements: I am currently in my final year, and 600 students have been placed till now through campus selections. Top recruiters are TCS, Wipro, and Mu Sigma. Roles that can be seen as commonly offered are associate software developer, business manager, software development engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are good. We have multiple computer labs for different streams. We also have a central library where a large number of students can sit and study together. Library is equipped with computers, students can access the internet as well.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They provide insights about the subject they teach. They are also approachable and help clear any doubts related to the subject. Semester exams are very easy to pass. Students could pass it even studying a night before the exam.
Other: As a Science student, cherished by the reality of Computer Science and Engineering, I chose this college. The course could be mended better and made inclusive for the students. College regularly organizes many fests and events.

MBA in Banking and Financial Engineering in association with SBI and Tally - Batch of 2024

Honest review after passing out.
Placements: Marketing placements were more. Even in banking fields and banking companies, mostly companies were referring students with marketing specialisation in minor. Companies for finance was very less. Recession is also going on so can't blame the university for that.
Infrastructure: Hostel is not that good. There are no AC in the hostel. Food was good for the first month only after that it was really unsanitary and taste like garbage. Options for ordering food were also very less. To order from Zomato also we had to go outside the hostel. Delivery partners weren't allowed inside the main GATE.
Faculty: Faculty was good. A little more could have been added in the curriculum. More practical things regarding our field could have been taught but they weren't. Some suggestion could have been taken from the students regarding the curriculum. I think some changes should be made.
