Overall, this college is not worth the money.
Placements: There are no placements for our courses, and after this, we should pursue an MSc to have more chances for placements. The college only provides degrees for students. For other courses like DG, there are good placements, so I gave 2 stars only in the context of DG courses.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for our courses is very poor because we don't have a specific lab for robotics; we only have a computer lab, which is also in poor condition. The Wi-Fi is not very good, and the hostel food is okay, but we lack facilities to wash our clothes.
Faculty: The faculties are good; they support us and encourage us to participate in various hackathons. They teach us well and do not force us to do anything. They support our internships and give credit for exams. The exams are also manageable, and I have no complaints about them.
Other: This college did not meet my expectations. Please only come here if you want a degree. If you are looking for placements, then go to a better college.

It is one of the best colleges.
Placements: Only a few students got placed in our college. Students got placed in Maersk.
Infrastructure: Our college provides all the facilities. They are above average. Wi-Fi is available in our college. Its speed is decent. We have a lab and a swimming pool. A doctor and ambulance are available 24X7 in our college. Our canteen provides decent food.
Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable. They do not speak English fluently, so we face some difficulties. Some of them do not have good knowledge. The course curriculum is relevant. Semester exams are difficult.

It is a good academy for merchant navy courses.
Placements: Approximately 70% of students got placed in our course. The average salary package offered was 700$ per month as a cadet at Nyk Line. The lowest salary package offered was 420$ per month as Maersk Cadets. Other companies that visit our campus for recruitment offer similar salaries to the cadets. The top recruiting companies were Nyk, Suntech, Maersk, and V Ships.
Infrastructure: All facilities are available in this college. Hostels are better. There is an auditorium in this college. The library has many books of different genres. The course curriculum is well structured. All the captains and chief officers know what to teach and train as per current industry standards.
Faculty: All teachers are either a captain or chief officers who served in different companies in the merchant navy. Along with the book they share their own experience to make learning easy and practical for us. Semester exams are moderate. The syllabus is well-defined and nothing to study extra. Faculty members teach us as per industry standards.
Other: I chose this course as I was excited to see the oceans and meet different people from different countries. Events are conducted. Extracurricular activities include all things from dance to boat rowing, fire fighting, swimming, football, table tennis, cricket, etc.

In Tamil Nadu, it's a good college with good placements for marine course.
Placements: 70% of students got placed. Marks is the company that takes lots of students from our college, and many other companies also come for placements. Girls are given more importance, and it's easier for them to get placed because there are very few cadets in this field.
Infrastructure: Hostels are not much good because they train us for onboarding. The infrastructure and facilities are good. The classrooms are average. The mess is really good, and they offer good and healthy food.
Faculty: The faculty who teach us are really experienced. Most of them capitans. They train us for onboarding. The pass percentage in semester exams is 70%, and for other subjects, it is 60%.

    Good college to get placements.
Placements: Placement is good if you are not getting any arrear in your exams. If you get any arrears you will get them clear. Top companies like Maersk Line, Shell, Chevron, APL, Stens, Northern Marine, Goodwood Ship Management, etc., visited and recruited the students of AMET.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is good and labs are well-equipped and classrooms have air-conditioners. The library will consist of an enormous number of books for the growth of knowledge. The basic facilities are provided but not of good quality, and also hostel food is not good in quality but you can survive.
Faculty: All the senior professors and chief engineers who were sailing before joining our college are knowledgeable and highly skilled. The quality of teaching of our teachers is good. They use a lot of different methods to get us knowledge. They will tell important questions.

Get an admission only if you're getting placement beforehand.
Placements: Maersk is the company recruiting cadets. Approximately 70% are placed if you don't get arrear in your exams. Other companies like V SHIPS, CHEVRON, and Home have recruited 2022 cadets from AMET. The highest package is $800 per month offered by ASP company.
Infrastructure: Hostel rooms are just average. You'll get a room sharing 4 people and a common bathroom for the whole floor. Air conditioning is not available. Food is normally what you'll expect in the hostel but more South Indian food especially for breakfast you'll get idli, dosa, and vada.
Faculty: Captains are the best than any other institution for maritime studies. They are knowledgeable and eager to teach and their motive is to make the AMET cadets the best out in the field. They are all experienced Masters with vast knowledge in their field.
