College is average but good hostel life.

Placements: The placement is average. In the batch of 300, almost 150 cadets are placed with world-class companies. Some companies visited for placement are. Maersk line, BW Shipping, Goodwood ship management, Fleet ship management, Nyk ship management, Chevron, and a lot more. Every cadet gets placed with 500 USD as a stipend and after that 3000 USD. Almost 50 to 60% of students get placed. As I am already placed in the world's no. 1 shipping company Maersk Line. After completing my degree I will work for ...

The college provides good infrastructure and good placement opportunities.

Placements: Nearly 80% of students are placed. The highest salary package offered is 2 LPA as a 4th engineer and the lowest salary offered is Rs.80000 as a cadet. Maersk Line is the top recruitment company for our college. Discipline is a must in this course and leadership is also important.

I am satisfied with this college, because I get placements from Maersk.

Placements: Almost 80-90% of students are placed in good companies, and almost 90 to 95 cadets get placements by Maersk because they are the main recruiting company. Some more companies Goodwood, Chevron, PIL, etc., that visit to hire students. This college offer many courses, but they are famous for maritime.

Review of Academy of Maritime Education and Training.

Placements: Lots of companies visit AMET for placement, such as Maersk line, V-SHIP, Synergy, etc. If students are sincere, then they will get placements. Many students also get sponsorship for B.Sc. Nautical and Marine are the roles offered.

It is a good college for the shipping course, but I am dissatisfied with the fee structure.

Placements: Our college claims to provide 90% placements. They offered many placements, but they are not enough for all students pursuing the course. The highest salary offered is Rs. 50,000 per month, the lowest salary offered is Rs. 10,000 per month, and the average salary offered is Rs. 15,000-25,000 per month. Logistics companies like Amazon, Flipkart, DHL and many shipping-related companies are the top recruiters. Around 90% of the students got internships from various companies around ports and areas.

It is a very respectable university.

Placements: Around 80% of the students got placed during the placement time. Most of the students got a salary of Rs. 20,000 to 50,000 per month. However, it depends on the performance and knowledge of the respective students. Top recruiting companies are mostly shipping companies like Maersk and DHL, Evergreen Marine Corp, etc.

Faculty members are very good here, and the discipline maintained is also good.

Placements: Almost 60%-70% of the boys and girls got placed during our placement session from our college. Every department gets its related placement offers, and for placements, a lot of IT companies visit here. I don't know about the placements of non-DG courses. However, in DG courses, placements are very good. Especially Maersk Line visits here to select us.

AMET always has its name in the field but not as much as Thulani or IMU.

Placements: I passed out in 2014. It was the down-time for the whole Merchant Navy field, but still, our college managed to bring more than 20 companies for final placements. Almost 55-60 students got placed out of 200. Shell Petroleum, Northern Marine, American President Line and Maersk Lines are few of the top recruiters in that year for the role of trainee marine engineer to work onboard the ship. Marine is losing its attraction over the last few years in terms of salary packages and additional benefits.

I am satisfied with the faculty, facilities and placements provided by the college.

Placements: The better opportunity in this college is that the college provides companies for campus interview even for 1st-year students. Many companies visit our college for placements, and even they hire the students in bulk if they have that calibre. Recently Maersk company visited our college for placements and hired about 70 students from our batch.
