It is a very respectable university.

Placements: Around 80% of the students got placed during the placement time. Most of the students got a salary of Rs. 20,000 to 50,000 per month. However, it depends on the performance and knowledge of the respective students. Top recruiting companies are mostly shipping companies like Maersk and DHL, Evergreen Marine Corp, etc.

AMET always has its name in the field but not as much as Thulani or IMU.

Placements: I passed out in 2014. It was the down-time for the whole Merchant Navy field, but still, our college managed to bring more than 20 companies for final placements. Almost 55-60 students got placed out of 200. Shell Petroleum, Northern Marine, American President Line and Maersk Lines are few of the top recruiters in that year for the role of trainee marine engineer to work onboard the ship. Marine is losing its attraction over the last few years in terms of salary packages and additional benefits.

I am satisfied with the faculty, facilities and placements provided by the college.

Placements: The better opportunity in this college is that the college provides companies for campus interview even for 1st-year students. Many companies visit our college for placements, and even they hire the students in bulk if they have that calibre. Recently Maersk company visited our college for placements and hired about 70 students from our batch.

Our college offered good placements in the year 2015.

Placements: Almost 60% of the students get placed in our course. The salary packages offered differ from one company to another. The salary offered to a fresher is Rs. 30,000 per month. Top recruiting company of our college was Maersk. Around 60% of students got internships from our course in Maersk and Chevron, etc. Top role offered was as a chief engineer in ship.

It is a good academy for students who want to study marine.

Placements: Around 40% of students got placed in our nautical science course. The salary offered ranges from Rs. 27,000 per month to 1 lac for a deck cadet when joining an onboard ship. Maersk, Fleet, Sea team, Chevron, NYK and Goodwood are the companies which visit our campus for recruitment. Captain of the ship, Navy officers and offshore jobs are the roles offered. In our course, the highest salary offered was 3 lac per month, and the lowest salary offered was 1 lac per month. Around 30% of the students ...

I am satisfied with this college.

Placements: Overall, placements in our college are good. Students are getting placed according to their CGPA. Students should not have any backlogs in any subjects from the starting of their 1st semester. If students get good rank and more marks, then they will get better placements from college.

It is a great college because of good placements, good teaching staff and good facilities.

Placements: Almost 80-90% of students in our course got placed. The lowest salary package offered is 4 LPA. Companies outside India and national companies visit our campus for placements. The highest salary package offered is 14 LPA. Some faculty members in our college are great, and they are very active in students future placement. The college has some cooperation from different multinational companies which visit our college every year to recruit students.

Good for who want to pursue their career in Marchant navy.

Placements: Placement is good but you can't say great. Many famous companies like Maersk, Nyk, Goodwood, Chevron, Seateam and few more. I can say if you are good in studies then you will definitely get the placement from this college. They only can give you the opportunity after that you are own your own.

AMET University is the best maritime university in India.

Placements: The college provides good placements mainly from good companies like Maersk and DA-Desk. Many of my friends in seniors got placed in many places over India. AMET is the only university in maritime education giving good placements to students. They give good worth to the students to get qualified in all the fields that each and everyone joined.

The best college to study in marine related courses in India. Very good faculty members.

Placements: About 45% of the students got placed at different companies like Maersk, Shell, Hapag Lloyd, etc. There are also a lot of companies which are coming forward and giving students a lot of opportunities. The salary offered to them was from 15,000. The students were placed in various sectors also.

If your interested in the marine engineering., join this college.

Placements: The placements offered in this college are not bad. Out of 200, at least 100 got placed every year. Top companies like Shell Maersk come for the placements every year. They allow attending the interview based on the semester exam ranking, so you need to be in top 10-20 all the time to attend the interviews.

The faculty are very good with a favorable environment where one can learn many things.

Placements: Our seniors get well placed in the reputed companies. Recently 60% of our seniors got placed abroad and in India too. The highest salary offer depends on the student's academic background and interview performance, and it varies between $ 85,000 to $ 153,500. The companies like Goa Shipyard and much more visited this campus.

Overall, good except for the placement.

Placements: There are no placements. The marine field is going to worse. If you have influence, you can join this field or else, you will be jobless. The college is good and supportive staff. Please join with your own risk, don't join with educational loans if you don't have support for joining ships. Nobody is going to help you. Beware of agents before joining the ship.

The college is good, but all it needs is quality education.

Placements: Talking about the placement, this college has two parts. One is DG which have up to 90% placement, and another is none DG ( ocean, petroleum, electric, mechanical, etc.) in which generally top 10 students able to get placed. Talking about the business school, the placement record is better than others maritime colleges.

It is a good college to study.

Placements: It is a very good college and basically the best Marine college in South India. So, anyone going to a sea-oriented course surely gets 100 percent placement. Also, if a student completes the course with decent marks, there is a good chance of getting jobs. Compared to other universities, it also has IELTS training to increase the English fluently and jobs offers.

Visit the campus personally. And observe the things. Don't take immediate actions.

Placements: For the students of BSC deck cadets course, the placement record is good. It was 100% for the last two years. For the marine engineers, 55% students got placement in shipping companies. For naval architecture, below 10% placements are recorded. You must be a topper and only then will you get the placements similar to other course students. MBA students got 30% placements, and BBM got 60%. For GME and ETO don't consider placements at all. If the shipping companies have the vacancy, they will come...

Now the faculty is not good, and also the course fee is raised.

Placements: 50 percent placement when I studied, depends on the Maersk recruitment. They will take as many cadets as they want. Before I joined it was bad. Because the shipping market was under crises. Now it is good, may change later, but I am sure that top 50 in every batch will be placed out if 200.

The infrastructure is average. We have facilities for all labs and the placements are good in which most of the companies are internationally based. Food is good and offer lot of facilities. We have a mixed group of experienced and new faculty. We have wifi facility in hostel and college too. We have 3 gyms, swimming pool and back water boating.

It is a good college in terms of education, training, etc. The college has less entertainment activities as compared to other universities. Cultural activities are very low and hence, there are more educational activities. Maritime training is good as compared to other universities.
