Q:   Does AIIMs Mangalagiri offer better placements than AIIMs Delhi?

A:

There is no clear evidence to suggest that AIIMS Mangalagiri offers better placements than AIIMS Delhi. While AIIMS Mangalagiri is a newly established institute, AIIMS Delhi has been in existence for several decades and has a well-established reputation for providing quality medical education and research. However, AIIMS Mangalagiri has been ranked among the top 10 AIIMS in India and has a good placement record, with an average package of around INR 10 LPA.. On the other hand, AIIMS Delhi has a strong alumni network and is known for producing some of the best doctors in the country. It is also one of the most sought-after medical colleges in India, with a highly competitive admission process. Therefore, both institutes have their strengths and weaknesses, and the choice between the two would depend on individual preferences and priorities.

Q:   Which one is better for a MBBS, AIIMs Mangalagiri or MBBS, AIIMs Delhi?

A:

Both AIIMS Mangalagiri and AIIMS Delhi are prestigious institutions and offer high-quality medical education. It's difficult to say which one is better as both institutions have their unique strengths and weaknesses. Here are some factors to consider:

1. Reputation: AIIMS Delhi is the original and the oldest AIIMS institution, and it has a long-standing reputation for excellence in medical education and research. However, AIIMS Mangalagiri, being a newer institution, is also rapidly gaining recognition and reputation in the medical community.

2. Faculty: Both institutions have highly qualified and experienced faculty members, but AIIMS Delhi has a larger faculty base, which may provide students with more opportunities for interaction and guidance.

3. Infrastructure: AIIMS Delhi has more extensive infrastructure, including a larger campus and more specialised facilities. However, AIIMS Mangalagiri is also rapidly expanding and improving its infrastructure.

4. Research opportunities: Both institutions have a strong emphasis on research, but AIIMS Delhi has a larger research output and more established research programs.

5. Clinical exposure: Both institutions have tie-ups with reputed hospitals, but AIIMS Delhi has more extensive clinical facilities and a larger patient volume, which may provide students with more diverse clinical exposure.

Ultimately, the choice between AIIMS Mangalagiri and AIIMS Delhi will depend on individual preferences, such as proximity to home, campus facilities, and research interests. Both institutions offer high-quality medical education, and students can expect a rigorous and challenging academic experience at either institution.

Q:   Is MBBS at AIIMs Mangalagiri better than AIIMs Delhi?

A:

AIIMS Mangalagiri and AIIMS Delhi are prestigious institutions known for their excellence in medical education and healthcare.

AIIMS Delhi, being the pioneer and one of the oldest AIIMS institutes, has a long-established history, experienced faculty, state-of-the-art infrastructure, and a rich legacy. It offers a vast array of opportunities for clinical exposure, research, and learning experiences due to its extensive resources and renowned faculty members.

On the other hand, AIIMS Mangalagiri, being a newer AIIMS institute, might have some advantages like modern infrastructure, updated facilities, and a potentially more personalized learning environment due to smaller batch sizes and newer teaching methodologies.

Factors to consider when comparing the two could include:

  1. Faculty and Resources: AIIMS Delhi, due to its long-standing presence, might have a larger and more experienced faculty base and extensive resources compared to AIIMS Mangalagiri.

  2. Clinical Exposure: AIIMS Delhi, being in the national capital, has a diverse patient pool and numerous hospitals, providing excellent clinical exposure. AIIMS Mangalagiri, being a newer institute, might be gradually developing these aspects.

  3. Infrastructure: AIIMS Delhi has well-established infrastructure and facilities developed over the years, while AIIMS Mangalagiri might have more modern facilities and infrastructure due to being a newer institute.

  4. Opportunities for Research: Both institutes offer research opportunities, but AIIMS Delhi, with its extensive experience and resources, might have a broader spectrum of research avenues.

  5. Location and Environment: The location and surrounding environment could differ significantly between the two institutes, affecting aspects like student life and extracurricular opportunities.

A:

Based on the application results, AIIMS Mangalagiri is a relatively new institute which was established in 2018. It is one of the premier medical colleges in Andhra Pradesh and is affiliated to the Statutory Autonomous AIIMS (New Delhi). The search results did not give a definite answer whether AIIMS Mangalagiri is the best among all AIIMS. However, AIIMS Mangalagiri is ranked 39th among all medical colleges in India. It is important to note that the ranking of colleges may differ depending on the source and the criteria used in the evaluation. A BOON for medical students, Absolutely satisfied with Faculty, Infrastructure, and Opportunities.
Placements: Placements after MBBS are very rare, most of the students will aim for INI CET, NEET PG, etc., exams to complete their post-graduation. Most of the students will be placed in good institutions for PG. All AIIMS will have an internal quota reservation, so there is a high chance (comparatively) of getting a PG seat here itself.
Infrastructure: AIIMS is known for its excellent infrastructure, and AIIMS Mangalagiri is not an exception. The college, library, and hospital are equipped with central air conditioning (AHUs) and have high-speed Wi-Fi, which students can use for academic purposes. Classrooms are equipped with central air conditioning and an advanced set of projectors and mic systems. AIIMS Mangalagiri has excellent faculty who came from different INIs like JIPMER, AIIMS, etc. They are very dedicated and experienced in teaching UG students. The 24/7 library is well-equipped with all the books required for UG and PG students. Hostel: Boys have sharing rooms (2 persons/room). Boys get single rooms from the 4th year, whereas girls get single rooms from the 1st year itself. The canteen has room for improvement and will be improved in the coming days.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified, dedicated, and passionate about teaching. For MBBS, there are a total of 9 semesters. Every semester has a midterm examination until the 5th semester, after which only semester examinations will be conducted. Equal importance is given to marks for practical and theory exams. With patient flow nearing 3000/day, students can get excellent clinical knowledge and will be service-ready.
Other: Events are conducted regularly. Numerous cultural, sports, literary, and S&E events are conducted. Connectivity: 2 km from Mangalagiri and 10 km from Vijayawada.

Hostel have single rooms with bathrooms for girls and double rooms with common bathrooms for boys. The library is fully functional. Wi-Fi facility is available in college. They provide us with sports facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and experienced. They are recruited from JIIMPER Pondicherry. The teaching quality is good. Semester exams are difficult. The pass percentage of our college is 50%.
Other: I opted for this because my dream is to become a doctor. In our college, events and fests are being organised by students. The campus surroundings are beautiful with mountains. The auditorium is recently opened. The campus is not much populated as it is a new college. Restaurants near the college are good. There are some interesting places to explore near Mangala Giri and Vijayawada.
