The last date to apply at Alagappa University Admission 2024 for entrance-based and non-entrance-based courses is usually in May. Currently, the applications are open for admission 2024. Candidates can apply for B.Ed and MCA till May 20, 2024. For MBA and MCA, the applications are open till May 27, 2024.

Candidates applying for non-entrance exam courses can fill out the application form till May 31, 2024. The mode of application is online. Hence, candidates must visit the official website to fill out the form.

Alagappa university admission is both entrance and merit-based, depending upon the nature of the programme. The university conducts an entrance exam for admission to B.Ed, MBA, MCA and MSc. Once selected, candidates are offered seat in the university based on their merit. They need to confirm their seat by paying the course fee.

No, Alagappa University BSc course admission is merit-based. Candidates are admitted to the UG programmes based on merit in the last qualifying examination, i.e., Class 12. The university or its affiliated colleges may release a cutoff list to declare the minimum aggregate.

However, for the BSc in Nautical Sciences course, candidates shall have a valid score of IMUCET. This programme is offered by Coimbatore Marine College. Also, admission to BSc in Physical Education course is done based on candidates performance in the Medical Test, Physical Efficiency Test, and Games Test marks.

There is no seat reservation at the university for SC/ST candidates. However, Alagappa University reserve seats for differently-abled students applying for the BSc course. The university reserve 5% of seats in each course for this category candidates. Apart from this, the SC/ST candidates may get some seat relaxation, if approved by the government of Tamil Nadu.

Based on the previous exam session, candidates can expect Anna University to conduct TANCET 2025 exam in the month of March. In 2024, Anna University conducted the TANCET exam for MBA and MCA courses on March 9. However, Anna University is yet to speak on TANCET 2025 exam timeline, including the exam dates, registration dates, admit card issuance schedule, result dates and more. Candidates can expect the schedule for TANCET 2025 to release in the early weeks of January.

Students at Alagappa University can apply for scholarships offered by the State Government, the Central Government, and NGOs. Scholarships are available to worthy and distinguished students at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate levels. Alagappa University integrated BSc-MSc course in Marine Biology is of five-year duration. There are a total of 10 semesters, wherein, each has a list of subjects. The first three-year of the course shall include BSc subjects and rest two of MSc. Enlisted below are some of the subjects included in the course curriculum:

Alagappa University provides various undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, certificate and doctoral-level programmes in the fields of Arts, Management, Commerce, Science, Management, Education, etc. Some of these courses include MBA, MSc, BSc, BBA, MA, BVoc, BEd, BCom, etc. The duration of these courses ranges between one-five years. Candidates must complete Class 12 to apply for UG courses. Graduation is the minimum requirement for PG programmes.

Applicant must have passed Class 12 or equivalent exam from a recognised board. For BSc in Physical Education admission, the applicant shall have passed the exam with 40% (35% for reserved category) aggregate with proficiency in sports. The upper age limit for admission to BSc (Catering Science and Hotel Management) is 21 years. Students must check eligibility conditions carefully before admission form filling. The relevant documents also have to submit at the time of admission.
