Aligarh conducts its own entrance exam to select candidates for its MBA programme. Admission to the AMU MBA is done based on the performance of the candidates in AMU CAT.The competition level is high for Aligarh Muslim University MBA admission and it is also reflected in the entrance exam conducted by AMU for admission to the MBA programme. The entrance exam is a computer-based test consisting of 100 questions (1 mark each), divided into four sections and they are as under:

• Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension: 25 Marks
• Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning: 25 Marks
• Quantitative Ability: 25 Marks
• General Awareness: 25 Marks

Aligarh Muslim University accepts Persian/4 exam to shortlist candidates for admission to seven undergraduate courses.
