What is AUCET?
AUCET is a state level entrance exam which is conducted by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam which allows candidates to enrol for admission in postgraduate courses which are offered under the streams of Science, Commerce, Humanities, Management, Teaching and Journalism and Mass communication. Aspirants are offered admission in Andhra University and its affiliated colleges as well as Dr BR Ambedkar University, Srikakulam on the basis of their scores in AUCET entrance exam.
Andhra University Common Entrance Test (AUCET) is conducted to offer admission to courses such as MSc, MA, MCom, MHRM, MJMC, MLISc, MPEd, MEd, MTech into various Andhra Universities. For the 2020/21 academic session, the AUCET 2020 application forms will be available online on the official website in the second week of March, 2020 and the admit cards will be released in the first week of May. The AUCET 2020 entrance exam will be conducted in the second week of May, 2020.

AUCET 2020 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates seeking admission into various courses should meet the eligibility criteria before applying. The AUCET 2020 eligibility criteria as issued by the Andhra University’s Directorate of Admission mentioned below:
Nationality
- The candidate must be a citizen of India.
- The candidate should belong from Andhra Pradesh and must hold a valid residential proof as subsequently amended in the Andhra Pradesh State, Educational Institution 1974.
Education Qualification
- Candidates who have passed from recognized universities are considered for admission into PG Arts and Science courses if they possess a three-year Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 50 per cent marks, 45 per cent for reserved categories.
- Candidates who have appeared/appearing for their final year examination in 2020 are only eligible.
Candidates need to meet the eligibility criteria as set by the Andhra University. Candidates who are found ineligible, will not be allowed to further proceed in any time of the admission process. Aspirants appearing for AUCET 2020, are required to fulfil the requirements as set by the varsity. Candidates need to meet the required academic qualifications, age limit and other aspects in order to be eligible to appear for the AUCET entrance exam.

AUCET 2020 Admission Process
Candidates will need to successfully submit the AUCET 2020 application form and pay the application fee in order to sit for the AUCET entrance exam. Once all the details are filled, candidates will receive their respective AUCET admit cards in the 1st week of May,2020, a week before the entrance exam date which is to be conducted in the second week of May, 2020. Here’s a step by step admission process:
Stage 1: Fill AUCET 2020 application form
For AUCET 2020 registrations, aspirants will need to fill the application form online on the official website of the Andhra University. The application forms will be available online on the official website of the Andhra University from the second week of March, 2020.

Stage 2: Pay application fee.
Once the candidate has filled the form with all the details entered, applicants need to pay the AUCET 2020 application fee either via online mode (debit card/ credit card/ net banking) or offline mode (Andhra Bank/ SBI Challan).

Candidates are advised to carefully verify all the details before pressing the submit button. The filled application form which will be generated will contain the application number along with the mentioned details. Candidates need to take a printout of the AUCET form and use the application number for future reference.
Stage 3: Download AUCET 2020 admit card
After the candidate has successfully filled in the application form and paid the application fee, the candidate can download their AUCET 2020 admit card from the official website of Andhra University and carry the same to the exam centre. The admit card will be available on the official website in the first week of May, 2020. The admit card will contain details such as:

Stage 4: AUCET 2020 Entrance exam
Once the candidate have downloaded their respective admit cards from the official website, candidates need to appear for the AUCE 2020 entrance exam at the allotted exam centre which will be mentioned on the admit card. The AUCET entrance exam question paper contains objective type questions. The duration of the entrance exam will be 90 minutes.

Stage 5: Results
Candidates can check the AUCET 2020 results on the official website of the university. The AUCET 2020 results date will be announced by the university. All aspirants who have appeared for the entrance exam are allotted ranks according to the marks secured. In case of two or more candidates secure the same marks, the order of merit is judged on the basis of date of birth wherein a candidate older in age is given priority.

Stage 6: Counselling
Once the AUCET 2020 entrance exam results have bee declared (TBA), counselling schedule for the same will be released on the official website of Andhra University. Candidates who have successfully cleared the entrance exam, according to the ranks, aspirants will have to produce original certificates during the admission process.
