Applicants must have passed a 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board. Applicants who have appeared for their final board examinations are required to submit the scores of all the subjects they have undertaken as a part of their class XII final board examinations. In case an applicant is awaiting his/her final examination results at the time of filling in and submitting the application form, he/she is required to submit their predicted grades/scores. Predicted grades/scores are the estimated final grades/scores of the Class XII board examinations. The predicted grades/scores may be provided by the school counselor/any other relevant school authority. In the absence of official predicted grades/scores, applicants also have the option of submitting self-predicted grades/scores.

Ashoka University accepts students from all +2 level qualifications recognized by the AIU. For International Baccalaureate (IB) students, only applicants enrolled under the Diploma Program and awarded the Diploma of the International Baccalaureate are eligible to apply for the undergraduate program at Ashoka University. Students enrolled in and awarded the IB Certificate Programme are not eligible to apply or receive admission into Ashoka University. For students enrolled in the Cambridge Board, applicants must appear for a minimum of 3 subjects at the A-level to be eligible to apply to the undergraduate program at Ashoka University. For all other boards, students have to share a conversion sheet/normalization scale or any detailing around the grading/scoring system used by the board/school authorities with the Admissions Committee.

Students of Ashoka University who wish to Major or Minor in the following disciplines should have studied Mathematics in their senior school years (Class XI and XII). Economics / Economics and Finance / Economics and History / Politics, Philosophy and Economics / Mathematics / Computer Science / Computer Science and Entrepreneurship / Computer Science and Mathematics / Physics.

Personal Interview
Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview and on-the-spot assessment comprising of an essay and an optional AAT (Ashoka Aptitude Test) on the basis of 10+2 marks, extracurricular activities and ACT (American College Testing) or SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) scores. Higher score out of AAT (Ashoka Aptitude Test) or ACT (American College Testing) or SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) or board marks will be considered while taking a decision on an applicant’s candidature. In case a candidate is unable to appear for the interview, he/she may attend the interview over Skype.
Final Selection
Students will be selected based on their potential for academic rigor and extra-curricular engagement. These include AAT (Ashoka Aptitude Test) or ACT (American College Testing) or SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) scores or 10+2 marks projects, and research, if applicable, as well as the disciplined and committed pursuit of varied interests and passions. Equally, the on-the-spot essay written at the time of the interview and the in-person interview with the panel, also contribute to the decision for admission.
