IIT, Varanasi is totally worth it.

Placements: Almost 70% of all the students appearing for placements got jobs. The lowest salary package offered was about 4 lacs per annum while the highest was 40 lacs per annum. The average was about 10-12 lacs per annum. All those who wished to get a placement were able to score placements while only the insincere students were the ones left behind.

The infrastructure and campus life are the best, but the placements are not good.

Placements: There is no placement cell in the college. The college doesn't provide any placement opportunities. There even didn't provide any internship opportunities for students. Most of the students started looking for government jobs after completing their graduation. Some of them took admission in other colleges like IITs and ISC to pursue the higher education.

The college provides us with each needed things, but they need to organise seminars.

Placements: The college doesn't provide any placements in the psychology department. To get placed in any clinic or hospital, we need to complete M.Phil or PhD. The college doesn't get any hospitals or clinics officials for placements as it won't be beneficial. The faculty do grant us for internships.

B.Sc. From BHU- My experiences and academic thoughts.

Placements: B.Sc. From Bio group doesn't have any placements as per se. I had done a major in Botany and graduated in 2013. Most of my classmates have gone for M.Sc. Only. Nearly no one I know has been placed from the university. Hence there is no question about the salary being offered. Few people do apply for jobs off campus in coaching institutes as a faculty and have a starting salary of around 25k-30k. Very few students go to any other sector. Doing a project is compulsory but an internship is optional...

Above average because they are having perfect faculty but not so perfect interaction toward student.

Placements: At B.Sc. level no placement but at postgraduate level it has good opportunity. It is fine college for research purposes. 8-9 got placement in private company Vedanta. Few cleared JRF exam. Maximum package offered was 9 Lacs per annum. In fellowship, Ph.D. scholar are given 8000 to 24000. Internal internship is provided to 1-2 students.

A good college with old infrastructure but amazing opportunities.

Placements: Placements are booming with the whole batch of CSE and ECE branch getting placed this year. Doesn't mean other branches lag behind. The software profile companies are booming whereas other students prefer core and either sit for Placements or opt for higher studies.

Placements: For our batch placement was Average. Almost 50 % students were placed from mining department. Although other students managed to get job through our alumni contacts before passing out from the campus. The highest package was in the range of 15 LPA. Average would be around (7-8)LPA. Most of the students were placed in non core jobs. If you are very good in coding then there are lots of good companies which are open for mining also. Placements: Placement are offered to selected student only when we talk about Bachelor of Commerce. The students who are interested in placements are easily able to grab a package of 2-2.5 LPA after undergraduation. Moreover the professors provide good guidance and training regarding placements.

The college has a great campus and infrastructure.

Placements: The college offers average placements. The salary package offered is about 2-4 LPA. There are good placement partners. There are average placements for the students of B.Com final year and doesn't get a great salary package. However, the salary package offered is fine. I would recommend you to join the institute. The facility of the campus placements is offered, and the salary package offered depends upon skills and negotiable on the student talent.

Placements: There were 56 students in the last batch of B.Tech which just passed out. Among them, 40+ got placed through placement cell IIT (BHU) Varanasi. So I can say around 70 % students of the batch were placed. The highest Package was offered by Myntra which was 27.5 Lac Per Annum (LPA) as a software developer. Minimum was 5.8 LPA Average package lied around 8.3 LPA Companies Visited - Tata Steel, Tata Motors, Myntra, Mastercard, Google, Oracle, Flipkart, Amazone, Reliance, TCS, Vedanta and many more...

Placements: Placement in Mining branch is not extraordinary. This year placement was better than previous year. The highest package in core was about 13 lacs by Hindustan Zinc Limited. Many students got placed in non-core companies including Oracle and Goldman Sachs. So, the average package offered in Mining branch was around 10 lacs.

Placements: B.A. Social Science is not a professional course. That's why there are less chances for campus placements here. But some students are being selected for jobs by Future Group, Reliance and other companies. Also some students of Travel and Tourism Management get jobs every year. Rate of internship is relatively much lower in this college. Basically only few students from Geography and Travel Tourism Management gets the opportunity to be a part of internship.

Placements: There is no special placement cell available, students can opt for general placements of the whole University, if you want placement then geophysics department has campus placements, but physics has not any placement cell, for placement you have to sit in general placement which happens for every department and not particularly for your physics trade.
