Review of CMS College of Science and Commerce.
Placements: I am a BCA student at CMS College of Science and Commerce, Coimbatore. The placement statistics for our course are impressive, with 90% of students placed. The highest salary package offered was 2.2 LPA, the average salary package offered was 2 LPA. And the lowest salary package offered was 1 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, HCL, KPMG, and Deloitte. About 80% of students secured internships, with companies like Sutherland, Syngene, and Zifo being the top recruiters for internships.
Infrastructure: I stayed in the college hostel. Each semester, which lasts for 6 months, costs Rs. 36,000. Facilities provided included a 4-sharing room with two fans and one cupboard for each member. We were not allowed to use an iron box, heaters, or kettles. The food was generally good, but sometimes it was not.
Faculty: In my department, all staff members were really nice and very good. For any problem related to college or studies, they were the go-to persons. They treated us just like their children and helped us in every way. I like all teachers in my department as well as in other departments. However, there is one sir named Manoj, whom no one liked in the college. He had a bit of a superiority complex and always scolded students unnecessarily. Each semester includes one internal exam, one model exam, and the main exam. The exam pattern was good: 10 one-mark questions, 5 three-mark questions, and 5 five-mark questions. Some teachers are very liberal, but others are very strict.
Other: My college conducts very few programs, so college life was a little boring without them. There are programs, but they are not that good. We have Onam celebrations in august or september, Ethnic day in april, College day in april or may, Sports day in march, and Pongal celebrations in january. The library is very big, and we can get all types of books that provide the information we need. There are no extracurricular activities like singing or dancing, but we have sports like kabaddi, athletics, kho-kho, etc.

Placements: Our placement staff has one main goal to achieve a higher placement count compared to other colleges. They treat everyone equally by placing all students in various companies. If students receive offers, they are allowed to participate only after everyone got the chance to take in the drives.
Infrastructure: Students are provided with individual usernames and passwords to access free internet services. For security, surveillance cameras are installed throughout the college campus. In the hostel, there is a large laundry area for eating and relaxing.
Faculty: Our teachers strictly follow the rules set by the management and ask us to do the same. They are regular learners and sometimes encourage us to believe in God. We must wear the uniform daily, and it should be worn properly. They excel in their coaching and maintain high standards.

It was an average college in 2022, the infrastructure was good and valuable.
Placements: Although they promise campus interviews, they are not related to our course. Even some companies demand money for entrance exams to join their jobs. It is such a waste. The campus placements are done few a weeks after the last semester, so many students fail to attend these drives.
Infrastructure: The facilities were really good except for the lack of proper instrumentation and other lab facilities. Hostel was really good and it was my favourite thing about my college life. The food provided was also decent and it was really good.
Faculty: Some of the teachers are really nice and cooperative. Their way of teaching and attitude towards the students is really good but some of them are just the opposite, they didn’t have any commitments towards the students or teaching. The curriculum is okay and it covers major topics related to the subjects. The semester exams are really easy and around 95% of the students pass the exam.

Most the busiest days in my life.
Placements: The placements at my college were average. My department does not have many active placement offers. The department of computer science achieved 89% of placements, while our department achieved 70%.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure at Dr. N.G.P. Arts and Science College is average. We have a wifi campus, but it lacks, and it is better to use mobile data. The canteen is good, but the food is average. The hostel facilities are average.
Faculty: The teachers were a mix of freshers and experienced professors. All the teachers were mature and responsible and able to handle all types of students. The exams are difficult to pass, but if we study them properly, it is easy.
Other: The college keeps us busy with a continuous schedule of events, exams, and placement activities. On the positive side, the college recently added both online and offline modes for fee payments, and student enrollment has been increasing every year.

Placements: About the students placed is around 4. The packages are around 2 Lacs, 3 Lacs, and up to 10 LPA. There are many companies recruiting students among All Bechtel India is the major company. All students are requested to do internships, and it is mandatory. Environment scientist, environment analyst, etc. are the top roles offered.
Infrastructure: There are many facilities provided for the students, among which the Wi-Fi infrastructure, computer labs are provided, classrooms are well maintained with digital classrooms, and there is a central library with N number of books, which is good for students. The hostel is okay, and the canteen facility is also okay in this college. Medical facilities are provided with a medical centre and 24/7 attending staff.
Faculty: Faculty members are more friendly to students. Faculty members are easily accessible for everyone with others. The students are encouraged to be involved in the activities regarding curriculum. Curriculum is well structured with essential subjects needed by the students.

The college needs to improve.
Placements: My class has 53 students, including girls, and most students study well by themselves, and the course package is about 3.6 to 7.2 LPA. They did not provide any company details for students, and nearly 30 students got internships by themselves. The college did not provide any internship facilities, and the top roles were logistics manager and coordinator.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi was enabled, but it does not work properly, and the classroom does not have a/c and electricity shut down per month. The library facility is good, with over 100,000 books, but the hostel quality was the worst, and the food is not good; it's of average taste, and the canteen has good snacks. The medical facilities are not so good, and they did not give any attention to sports and games for the children.
Faculty: The teachers were good, but there were only 2 teachers for MBA logistics and supply chain management, and they taught very well. They are good, knowledgeable people, and their practical knowledge and teaching quality were good. They have frequent industry visits and aviation courses in Cochin, and the exams were not tough and were easy to pass.
Other: The course has a futuristic path with a high salary, a good scope of about 10 years, and is good, but they need to provide internships and more training, and they did not conduct any FEAT or events. The campus has more crowds and natural surroundings, and scholarships are provided based on caste, and it does not have any extracurricular activities.
