Life in NIT Trichy with memories.
Placements: Placements on the campus are good not that bad. But it is a bit hard to get an internship on campus due to over completion for every department. It is better to get an internship off-campus. Just concentrate on the thing in which students are interested and then keep practicing it every day.
Infrastructure: We have a high-speed Wi-Fi LAN in every room in our hostel. The rooms are quite big in size, which is very much enough for 2 people to live and two big cupboards to keep our things. There are many grounds in NIT Trichy and a swimming pool, a sports complex, and much more.
Faculty: Faculty members teaching is pretty good. They motivate us to do better things in life also. We can do any research under our department professors. They will take that research to a high level and help us in our careers also. They also give company internships if possible.
Other: There are three college fests named Pragyan which is technical fest, festember a fun fest in which all colleges across India will participate, and Nittfest an interdepartmental fest.

NIT - Prachi for B.Tech Course Admission in 25-26.
Placements: In this college, for the best opportunity to grab the best companies and the best salary, there is a salary range from 6 Lacs to 30 Lacs, with the highest package provided for every student. This college has companies like TCS, Wipro, Accenture, Tata, Mahindra, etc. Companies are interested in the college.
Infrastructure: This college's infrastructure quality is very good, and it uses very high-quality products and materials. In this course, many facilities are provided to the students, like classrooms, labs, fast Wi-Fi, hostel, study tables, beds, bathrooms, canteen, labs, etc. Facilities are available.
Faculty: This college's faculty is very good, providing very high-quality teaching and knowledge to the students. The teachers have very high educational qualifications. This course has a total duration of 4 to 5 years, and 10 semester exams are conducted by the college.

The college is good enough to provide us with opportunities, but it lacks in extracurricular activit
Placements: I don't have any figures, but the percentage of placed students will be around 90%. The highest salary was 53 lakhs, and the average salary was 27 lakhs. I don't have any idea about the lowest salary; it may be around 12-15 lakhs. All big companies visit the campus, like Google, Microsoft, Adobe, D.E. Shaw, etc. The internship percentage will be around 30%-50%, but I don’t have specific figures.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good enough, with very fast Wi-Fi and good labs, but there is no AC in any classroom or some labs. Other facilities are decent, but the hostel is not so good in terms of infrastructure, like the quality of washrooms. There is also no washing machine in the hostel.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful if you study well and pay attention in class. They are well qualified and knowledgeable, but the quality of teaching is not so good. This is partly due to the students, as many don’t take an interest in the subjects, which causes teachers to lose interest in teaching as well.
Other: In the computer science course, the curriculum is not very industry-oriented. Additionally, the college doesn't provide enough funds for sports materials.

My College Experience in NIT Trichy.
Placements: Basically, my department is Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department (MME), and I am studying in the 1st year. But according to seniors, 84 percent of students passed from this 2024 batch, and the highest package is 52.5 LPA, with an average of 10 LPA. Some students went for MS, and some wrote GATE and joined IITs. The lowest is 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Aricent, Ashok Leyland, Honeywell, PepsiCo, Volvo, and non-core job companies like Microsoft and Wipro.
Infrastructure: First of all, this is NIT Trichy, Pride of India, but when we come to infrastructure, it is good. However, they have given less space to MME compared to other departments, and there are fewer equipment in the Chemistry labs. The library is excellent, and we should adjust to mess food because we come from different parts of India. We should not expect home food in hostels, but it is okay because there are separate messes for North Indians and South Indians. There are separate grounds for every sport, and we have a separate hospital inside NIT Trichy, which is free of cost.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members are graduates from IITs and foreign universities and are knowledgeable, but most students don't understand what they are teaching. Most students learn the subject from YouTube, and they follow old methods which are not relevant for the industry. Exams are not that difficult, but it is tough to get passed in some circuital branches because of the competition.
Other: I chose MME in NIT Trichy because I chose the college over the branch. This tag is useful outside college, and we are considered special compared to others. 1) FESTEMBER 2) NIT Trichy Fest 3) PRAGYAN are the 3 main fests. By the way, they held a 15-day orientation, and you can imagine about the fests.

College is good with good placements records.
Placements: In 2023, 87% of students were placed in the production engineering branch with the highest package of 38 LPA and an average of 14 LPA. Students get placed in both tech and non-tech companies. Top recruiters were Bosch, Tesla, Toyota, and many recruiters from different fields. All companies for the data science domain open up, but specific companies open for SDE roles.
Infrastructure: Hostels are good and equipped with excellent Wi-Fi services. The top speed of Wi-Fi ranges from 500-600 Mbps. Each room has its own Wi-Fi. Mess is also good. Both veg and non-veg options are available for students. 1st-year students were given hostel GATE and Garnet, in which GATE is quite good compared to Garnet because of spacious rooms.
Faculty: Teachers here are highly qualified with Ph.D. from renowned institutes like IITs. Some of the professors have honors from international institutes. The production course is chill, and students find extra time for extracurricular activities and courses relevant to industry with numerous labs. In each semester, two CTs (cycle tests) and one end-sem are taken, and above 90-95 percent of students get passed.
Other: The best thing about this branch is that you get very much time to brush up on your extracurricular skills and find opportunities in various sectors rather than going into core. Various events are organized in NITT. Its main fest, which is Festember, is South India's largest fest, while Pragyan is also a large technical fest where students from different colleges come here to showcase their skills. Sportsfete is also organized on a large scale where numerous sports events are held.

The placements are really good, along with the facilities.
Placements: 97+ percent of students got placed in Chemical Engineering from NIT Tiruchirappalli. The highest package is above 60 LPA, and the lowest is around 7-8 LPA. Top recruiting companies for B.Tech include Google, Microsoft, Oracle, and many more.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for all courses and departments, like Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and library, are good. The hostel facilities are decent, neither very good nor very bad, and the quality of food available in the mess and canteen is okay. Medical facilities are also good.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, and their knowledge is very good due to their years of experience. The teaching quality of the professors is solid. There are two cycle tests and one end-semester exam per semester, with the pass percentage varying with the average.
