BHU UET 2020 exam pattern for Bachelor of Performing Arts (BPA) and Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) courses has been announced by the Banaras Hindu University (BHU). As per the exam pattern of BHU UET 2020, the exam will be held in the paper-based test mode as well as the computer-based test mode. BHU UET exam pattern for BPA course is such that the paper contains 100 objective questions of 300 marks that candidates need to attempt in a duration of two hours. Questions in the exam are from subjects such as Vocal and Instrumental Sitar, Flute and Violin; Instrumental Tabla; Dance-Kathak; and Dance-Bharatnatyam.
Marking scheme: Three marks are allotted for every right answer in the exam. Also, one mark is deducted for every wrong answer in the exam.
BHU UET 2020 Exam Pattern for BFA Courses
BHU UET exam pattern for BFA course is such that there will be one theory and two practical tests. The theory paper contains 50 multiple choice questions that candidates need to complete in one-hour duration. Maximum marks that candidates can score in the exam are 150. Questions in the exam are usually based on general knowledge in Visual Arts (Painting, Sculpture, Commercial Art/ Applied Art, Pottery, Ceramics and Textiles).
The two practical tests will contain the following:
- Object drawing in pencil with light and shade of one-hour duration carrying 360 marks
- Memory Drawing from the imagination of 1.5 hours duration carrying 360 marks (in any medium - Pencil, Colour Pencils, Pastels, Crayons, Water Colour, Poster Colour etc)
Marking scheme: Three marks are allotted for every right answer in the exam. Also, one mark is deducted for every wrong answer in the exam.
