NSD Entrance Exam 2025 Results will be out once the exam is over for the academic year 2025. Students should know the the result will be released in online mode on the official  website of NSD in the form of a merit list. Selected candidates will receive an invitation to attend a five-day workshop cum interview, which is a part of the NSD 2025 Admission Process. The NSD Application Process will start soon and the information will be out on the official website first. 

Students who want to get theatre training from one of the most prestigious institutes are the one who appear for the NSD 2025 Entrance Test/Audition. The National School of Drama was in 1959 by the Sangeet Natak Akademi. The NSD 2025 Syllabus is based on the carefully planned, comprehensive and through topics related to the theatre and the theoretical knowledge is related to the practice. The selected candidates are required to produce plays that will be performed in public, as part of their training. Q:   What is the marking scheme for NSD entrance exam?

A: 

An Expert Committee constituted by the School will assess the aptitude and talent of the candidates & its decision will be final. Any canvassing in this regard will be treated as a disqualification. National School of Drama reserves the right to shortlist number of candidates for audition/preliminary interview on the basis of its own evaluation of the candidates in theatre and allied arts.

Q:   Is there any reservation criteria for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC /PwD and other categories in NSD exam?

A: 

Yes, there is a reservation criteria for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non -creamy layer) /PwD and other categories in NSD exam. Out of 29 seats, 4 seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the scheduled castes (SC); 2 seats are reserved for scheduled tribes (ST); 7 seats are reserved for OBC (Non-creamy layer as notified by the Government), 3 seats are reserved for EWS; and reservation for PwD and other categories, as per government of India rules.

In order to appear for the NSD entrance exam, candidates need to meet the required eligibility criteria for the NSD entrance exam. Check out the eligibility criteria mentioned below:

Q:   What is the provision for foreign candidates interested in taking admission through NSD exam?

A: 

Foreign students may take admission in the course. However, because of the limited number of seats, it is not feasible to accommodate more than one or two foreign students in each session. Such students have to submit their applications through the Indian Embassy/High Commission in their respective countries, who will forward these to the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) in India. The School will then consider the application recommended by the ICCR. Students have to submit their applications in the prescribed form of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).
