March 31, 2022: BML Munjal University, a Hero Group venture, announced today that its School of Management has received a renowned 'Diamond' Subject Grading in Management from QS I-GAUGE, an independent private sector rating system for India's universities, colleges, and schools. QS-GAUGE has revealed the 2022 Management Subject rankings for Indian educational institutions. QS I-GAUGE is a ranking system developed specifically for Indian universities and colleges. It enables academic institutions to efficiently benchmark their performance using key indicators and puts out a development path for improving their educational offerings.

QS I-GAUGE has designed its topic ratings approach for Indian institutions with a long-term goal in mind, in which institutions are evaluated based on how certain courses are taught to meet current market trends. The agency combines the worldwide skills, experience, and reputation of UK-based (QS) Quacquarelli Symonds with strong local understanding of Indian education luminaries.

Furthermore, the data evaluation activity boosts the institution's topic-level performance after a thorough review. QS I-GAUGE analyses an institution on ten broad characteristics for subject ratings:

  1. Student-faculty ratio
  2. Student Satisfaction in General
  3. Rate of Completion
  4. Alumni Satisfaction in General
  5. Library Services
  6. Management Ecosystem

  10. Finally, Outcomes of Placement.

A Diamond rating is attained by achieving 190 or above out of a possible 250 points. BML Munjal University received 218 points out of a possible 250 in the Management category. This places BMU's School of Management far ahead of numerous famous Indian colleges.

The focus of this year's summit was ‘Global Sustainability & the Corporation.’ The second season of the summit included discussions on how enterprises could align themselves with India's goal of net-zero carbon emissions by 2070, as well as how we need to collaborate and strategically plan the decades ahead to attain this goal. The summit brought together eminent leaders, ranging from startup founders to industry executives, to discuss technology, product development, marketing, supply chain, HR and talent management, as well as potential financiers and consultants, in order to define the new sustainable organisation and enterprise. He emphasised that one of the most significant vehicles accessible to government, regulators, and communities for bringing about social transformation and creating sustainable, egalitarian, and resilient societies is education. The summit featured six-panel discussions over the course of two days, with the goal of discussing how the world came to realise that while the market economy model promised to improve people's living standards, it was destructive to the overall ecosystem.

As a result of the increased awareness, aspiring entrepreneurs and corporations are looking at prospects in the field of sustainability and transitioning to sustainable business models. The summit emphasised the importance of balancing the Triple Bottom Line of People, Planet, and Profit.

BML Munjal University Announces Undergraduate Admissions for 2022

January 11, 2022: BML Munjal University, a Hero Group venture, is now accepting undergraduate applications for the year 2022, with an emphasis on going beyond cut-off based admissions. At modern colleges, the importance of single-mark cut-offs is gradually declining, providing much-needed respite to students who faced cut-offs as high as 100% last year.

BMU is leading the way toward a holistic assessment process, considering applications even before students sit for their Class 12 examinations and receive their results. The university's admission requirements do not solely evaluate a student's ability based on their school exam scores, but also take into account standardised test scores, interviews, and other factors, depending on the programme of interest.

Students may also take the BMU-SAT, BMU's internal test,  along with their scores in entrance exams like JEE (Main) and CLAT applicable to the BTech and Integrated five-year programmes in law, respectively.

Successful completion of Class 12 or the equivalent, as well as meeting university admissions standards listed on the website www. bmu.edu.in, will be required for admission to undergraduate programmes.

To provide a hands-on and multi-disciplinary learning experience, the University brings together excellent academics, industry leaders, seasoned researchers, and cutting-edge facilities.

BML Munjal University Unveils Centre On Law, Regulation And Technology

December 10, 2021: The BML Munjal University School of Law has launched its Centre on Law, Regulation, and Technology today (CLRT). The university's philosophy of helping students to handle the numerous effects of technology on socioeconomic activities is exemplified by the newly created platform. CLRT intends to contribute to policy debate through interdisciplinary research by bringing together perspectives from regulators, academia, business, policymakers, and civil society.

CLRT also organised a two-day virtual conference on December 4 and 6, 2021, under the auspices of The School of Law, titled 'Unfair business practises of eCommerce platforms and the necessity for ex-ante regulation for digital marketplaces in India.' The keynote presentation was given by Prof Sudhir Krishnaswamy, Vice-Chancellor, National Law School of India University, Bangalore.

India is looking for a suitable model to ensure justice and efficiency in digital markets, as nations around the world struggle to harness the benefits of modern technology in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 while attempting to minimise its negative effects through an optimal legal and regulatory framework. The promise and perils of technology, including its impact on the legal profession, have been underlined by post-pandemic restrictions on migration. To organise cases, accelerate research, and form contracts, law firms and courts are investing in technology.

Traditional approaches of delivering legal education are being challenged by these innovations. The University recently undertook a study on ‘Legal Curriculum Restructure for the Digital World,’ which included key voices from the profession and universities, and echoed the urgent need to redesign curricula in light of technological advancements. This emphasised the importance of increased technological usage in the legal profession and, as a result, in legal education. The study found that future law students must be 'digital natives.'

The two-day conference saw enthusiastic participation from both legal academics, social scientists, legal practitioners, and digital policy experts. The panelists included Professor Aditya Bhattacharjea - Senior Professor of Economics at the Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi; and, Prof Simonetta Vezzoso - tenured Professor of competition policy and intellectual property (Professore Aggregato) and senior researcher at Università di Trento, Department of Economics and Management among others.

The eminent panellists discussed the need for digital market regulation, the nature of regulation, the relevance of the ‘Western’ model of regulation for India, and the difficulty of ex-ante regulation enforcement in India. This event, as well as many others that the Centre hopes to host, aims to contribute to the policy debate on key issues relating to modern technology in an objective and non-partisan manner.

It is nice, but only for students who didn’t get into colleges like DTU.

Placements: We have 7 to 8 subjects and have more than 500 students in CSE batch and around 10 students in ECE branch. Around 13 students in mechanical branch. Some companies visit for placements, but most of them are associated with Hero and primarily recruit mechanical students.

The highest salary package offered is 35 LPA, and the lowest salary offered is 6 LPA (on campus). Top recruiting company is OYO Rooms. Only about 20% of students secured internships. Top role offered is a software developer.

Good hostel with spacious rooms.

Placements: If you prepare well, you get placed easily. And if you skip presentations, assignments and classes, then it will be tough for you. The highest package is approximately 15 Lacs in Federal Bank. Almost 80% of students are placed. I also got an internship as a PPO with a magic pin in Head Quarters Gurgaon.
