Q:   Is CUH good for M.Sc.?

A:
{Source: M.Sc. students & alumni}

M.Sc.: Is CUH good for M.Sc?

* Pros:
+ Faculty members are well-qualified and knowledgeable in their respective fields.
+ Course curriculum is relevant and industry-ready.
+ Infrastructure is good, with well-maintained labs, libraries, and hostels.
+ Campus life is friendly and culturally diverse.
+ Placement support is satisfactory, with top recruiters like Infosys, TCS, and Samsung.
* Cons:
+ Placement ratio is average, with only one or two students getting placed.
+ Limited opportunities for direct placements in the M.Sc. course.
+ Some students felt that the professors did not teach everything needed for the course, requiring additional self-study.

Overall, CUH appears to offer a good environment for studying M.Sc., with knowledgeable faculty, relevant course content, and decent infrastructure. While placements might not be exceptional, students can still leverage the university's connections and skills gained during the programme to secure positions. However, students should be prepared to supplement their learning with additional efforts beyond what is taught in classes.

{Source: MCA students & alumni}

Based on the feedback from current students and alumni, here's a summary of the pros and cons:

Pros:

* Good Infrastructure: The college has a well-maintained library, Wi-Fi facility, and medical facility. The hostel infrastructure is decent, with world-class amenities such as Wi-Fi, RO purified water, and hot/cold running water.
* Experienced Faculty: Most faculty members hold doctoral degrees and have over 15 years of teaching experience. They are knowledgeable and motivated to teach the latest technologies.
* Placements: Around 88% of students are placed, with top recruiters like TCS, Synoriq, Nagarro, Byju's, and Infosys. The training and placement cell regularly organizes placement drives and invites companies with high packages.
* Improving University Accreditation: The university is working towards improving its accreditation, which may lead to increased recognition and opportunities for students.

Cons:

* Limited Sports Facilities: The college lacks good sports facilities, which might affect student engagement and overall development.
* Average Course Curriculum: Some students feel that the course curriculum is average and doesn't cater to the latest industry trends.
* Lack of Events: The college doesn't conduct regular events, which might impact student participation and social activities.

Overall, while MCA at CUH has its strengths, it's essential to weigh these against the weaknesses. However, those seeking a vibrant campus life with frequent events might want to explore alternative options.

    Overall, it is the best university for the MCA course.
    Placements: The placement rate is about 77% because this university is still in its infancy. Training and placements at this university are getting better every day. Top hiring firms are Microsoft, Wipro, TCS, and numerous others. Companies with premium packages visit our college to hire students. The training and placements unit often hosts placement drives.
    Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is excellent. The college offers a medical facility as well as Wi-Fi. There is also a well-kept library at the college. They have wonderful classrooms. Sports facilities of the college are super. The hostel itself is in poor shape. Students are given hostel accommodation by the college based on their academic performance.
    Faculty: Most faculty members are mediocre. Some are helpful, while others are not. Our batch course curriculum is mediocre, however the curriculum of the new batch has been greatly enhanced. The next year students will see significant improvements in the course structure. So far, the rating is mediocre. The passing percentage is 59. Semester exams are moderately difficult.

    Best University for pursuing a MCA course.
    Placements: As per my knowledge, around 88% of students are placed. This university is improving its training and recruitment every day. The top recruiting firms are TCS, Synoriq, Nagarro, Byju's, Infosys, and many more. Training and placement cells regularly organize placement drives, and companies with superior packages visit to recruit students.
    Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good. The college provides a Wi-Fi facility and a medical facility. The college also has a well-maintained library. The classrooms are quite good. The college does not have good sports facilities. Even the condition of the hostel is not good. The college provides hostel facilities to the students according to their academic scores.
    Faculty: The faculty members are well-educated and experienced, as per UGC guidelines. In our department, there are some guest faculty members as well. Faculty members have doctoral degrees and more than 15 years of experience. They always motivate all their students to adopt and research all the latest technologies.

    From Admissions to Graduation: Reviewing My College Journey.
    Placements: Only 40-50% of students are placed through on-campus placements. There are no highest or lowest placements, with jobs provided ranging from 4-6 LPA. During campus placements, two companies offered jobs: Happy Rental Pvt Ltd and a testing and software development company.
    Infrastructure: The university has some of the best infrastructure in India. The hostels are among the best in CUH. The hostel has a canteen and sports ground, and there is a hospital on the university campus. The mess facility is poor but acceptable, and overall, university life is very good.
    Faculty: The university follows the UGC curriculum, which is excellent. Every teacher is highly qualified, with a minimum of 8-10 years of experience. The semester exams are very easy, and all the teachers are very helpful. The minimum passing mark is 40.
    Other: There are many festivals conducted from time to time at the university, and scholarship schemes are provided by both the state and central government.

    Good infrastructure, green & clean campus, good curriculum but dissatisfied with faculty & TPO.
    Placements: I had a batch of 50 students initially (batch 2020 - 2022), but later on some of them moved out to other universities, some dropped out due to government jobs, etc. Finally, out of 37 students, approximately 10 students got campus placement and approximately 15 others got off-campus placements. The companies that visited the campus include 'Nagarro', 'Byjus', 'CjDarcl', 'XenonStack', 'Sequentum', 'Hexaware', and one more that I do not remember clearly. The off-campus companies where some of them got offers include 'TCS', 'Infosys', 'CRM Master', etc. The highest CTC offered was 10 LPA by Byjus, but for a non-technical post. The highest technical post CTC was offered by Nagarro (6 LPA), and the lowest was 3 LPA (approximately) by CjDarcl. I have given only a 3-star rating because the Training and Placement wing could have done better. There should have at least been service-based tech giants like TCS & Infosys visiting the campus.
    Infrastructure: Since it is a central university fully funded by the central government, the infrastructure of both academics related things as well as hostels is very good if not the best. You can get well-maintained hostel rooms with neat and clean bathrooms, spacious mess, park, playground, shopping area, library, bus service, paid e-rickshaw service, etc.
    Faculty: I cannot say what the situation is now, but at my time, my department was lacking faculty. There was no permanent HOD (B.Tech CSE HOD was our incharge). Neither were there well-qualified guest faculty members. They were only M.Tech passouts from local colleges with no or little knowledge. Though, in the last semester, a permanent HOD was recruited and an advertisement was out for permanent assistant and associate professors. Now, I have come to know that they have been recruited.

    Our university has good atmosphere.
    Placements: There are no placements at this university. In the upcoming years, the placement cell and other infrastructures will be improved. There is a high chance of placements after this batch. Our university accreditation will be improved by this year.
    Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the hostel is very commendable and nice. Hostel buildings are better than most of the IITs. They are fully air-conditioned. Wi-Fi is available in the hostel and department. The average speed is 20 Mbps most of the time. Each classroom is fully air-conditioned and has 2 air-conditioners.
    Faculty: Faculty members are average. Some are helpful and some are not helpful. The course curriculum is average for our batch, but it has been improved a lot for the new batch. The course structure will be improved a lot in the upcoming years. So, the rating is average so far.

    Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

    A:

    Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.
