It is the best university in Kashmir.
Placements: Out of 19 students, most got admission for PhD in top universities like KU, SKUAST, and institutes outside the state. Some received job offers as project associates after internships and others secured government jobs. Some students are preparing for government jobs. Institute prepares students for different exams like CSIR NET, GATE-B, and SET.
Infrastructure: The department's infrastructure is highly advanced. Smart classrooms, advanced labs, and library with a splendid collection of books are available. Hostel facilities are excellent with clean rooms and fresh food provided daily in a variety of options. Hostel charges are affordable and its location in the market makes it convenient for students to access essential items.
Faculty: Teaching is outstanding. Faculty members are highly qualified. Their teaching methods are excellent and student-friendly. Course curriculum is relevant. Semester exams are difficult, but the preparation provided by the faculty makes the papers manageable for students. A majority of the faculty have also served abroad as assistant professors or scientists, giving them expertise in clarifying concepts and strong knowledge of lab work.
Other: This course has significant scope. It is a research-oriented subject and a lot of focus should be placed on practical learning rather than theory.

Amazing institute for higher education .
Placements: Our masters batch was made up of 18 students. Out of that, many got opportunities to work in some renowned labs like genomics lab skuast k, THISTI, NCBS, Jamil milia Delhi. About 95% of the of the students in our batch have done internships at reputed institutes. Many are working as project associates, some are working in different medical companies like Thermo Fisher, and some are working in quality assurance offices.
Infrastructure: Amazing infrastructure is available with digital classrooms with digital boards, advanced electric systems, and ACs. The hostel is also amazing; the food gives off a feeling of home; everything is just amazing. Every day, food, things for breakfast, dinner, and lunch, and a Wi-Fi facility are available. Hostel rooms are clean and connected to washrooms .
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified; they not only prepare students for the course exams but also for competitive exams like CSIR, NET, Set, and GATE, and the course curriculum and combination are amazing and connected to the subject. Exams are not as difficult because papers are from syllabus and everything from the syllabus is taught so papers are easy.
Other: Biotechnology is the new and advanced course because it deals with medical conditions and is less theoretical and more practical; it deals with different medical conditions, studying those conditions, and finding solutions for them.

Dissatisfied with the placements and infrastructure, but satisfied with the exams and faculty
Placements: There are no placements for the students. It is the students who have to find jobs on their own. There is no company visiting to hire you. There needs to be an improvement in getting companies to the campus. The internships are given to the students who can easily go for it by the University and by other means.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not so good because the work is still under process. It may take 3 years more to complete, although the basic requirements are available. The hostel facilities are very less and some people are facing issues. The students have no option to take the hostels, they have to stay in the rented rooms.
Faculty: The exams are taken on time. My degree was completed on time and the pattern of the exams is also good. The teachers are good and their way of teaching is also good. They are always helpful towards the students, in case of any doubts regarding studies, they can easily get it cleared.
Other: Physics was my favourite subject that is why I chose the course. They need to improve the placements and the infrastructure. Events and festivals are held from time to time. Scholarships are also given to top 3 students.

College is a little bit away from the main road but the faculty is amazing and unique.
Placements: We are still studying here, but talking about previous batches placements are not that satisfactory. I would like to add that if you want to achieve more knowledge then you must take admission here. B.Sc is the most interesting course here. Because of teachers it has become even more interesting.
Infrastructure: Labs are available. Canteen facility is available here. Besides, classrooms are equipped with high tech digital boards. Hostel is not available as most of the students are local residents. Quality of facilities is average. A well maintained library is also available.
Faculty: Teachers are supportive. Semester exams are not that tough but not too easy either. Teaching quality is great. Pass percentage is approximately 65-80%. Everything about this college is unique. Kashmir holds the exams for most of the colleges in Kashmir and ours too.
Other: It was a very interesting course.

This college is not a good choice for professional courses.
Placements: It is a degree college. There are no placements or internship programs offered to students. Students graduate from here in any course of science, arts, or commerce. I would recommend students opt for higher studies or competitive exams. Placements are not offered at this college, so students should develop the skills required for the industry from other sources.
Infrastructure: Our college provides well-maintained facilities like Wi-Fi, a library, laboratories, a mess, and classrooms. Classrooms have projectors. Overall, the infrastructure of our college is good compared to other colleges, as this is one of the most renowned colleges in the district.
Faculty: Faculty members at our college are highly qualified and dedicated. Exams are conducted semester-wise as per instructions from University of Kashmir. A general degree is offered but no specific skills are developed.
Other: Extracurricular activities are the daily routine of this college. Students get a chance to develop different areas of their personality and get exposure to another world. I opted for this course because I wanted to enhance my practical skills. The best thing about this course is that students get knowledge of diverse aspects of daily life that seem simple. Students can have deep knowledge of textiles, nutrition, communication, development, etc.

Review of Central University of Kashmir (CUK).
Placements: It is a huge mistake of MHRD and the government of India to establish this university. It was set up in 2009, but it doesn't have its own campus. It operates in rented buildings. When our course was started, we were shifted from one place to another almost 5 times. Our university doesn't have any placement record.
Infrastructure: Our college has a waste administration, and it is a waste of funding for it. The library always shifts as it has no permanent campus. I suggest that if you want a good future, never enrol here. Courses offered here are just for reputation.
Faculty: Our college does not have proper staff members. We were taught in our 3rd semester by two unprofessional teachers, and 4 subjects were taught by 2 teachers. They provide academics like a kindergarten. Further, our college has only a few permanent faculty members, while the rest academic arrangements are made in mid-semester. They didn't teach in the first 2 months of the semester.
