The things you need to know before joining MBA TTM in central University of Kerala .
Placements: The Department of Tourism Studies at Central University of Kerala provides placement as well as internship opportunities, though the package is comparatively less (2.5 LPA). In the 2022-24 batch, 60% of students got placed, and the department arranged interviews and opportunities for all the students. The main recruiters for the campus were: - Thomas Cook - Intersight Tours and Travel - Sita Travel - Akbar Holidays - Southern Travel. The roles offered by the companies are: - Sales Executive - Operations Executive - Front Office - Housekeeping
Infrastructure: The whole campus has Wi-Fi facilities and transportation facilities as well. All the departments have well-equipped independent labs and facilities. There is a common library which is accessible until 11 PM. In the case of the hostel, the food menu includes a variety of dishes from all over India, but mostly South Indian. The university also has a hospital and 24 x 7 ambulance services.
Faculty: The faculty members are well-qualified and experienced. They are up-to-date with the industry and keep us informed as well. The negative aspect of the MBA in Travel and Tourism is that most of the subjects are tourism-related, and the management-related papers are fewer. Other than that, the syllabus and curriculum are easy.
Other: I chose this university and this subject because I wanted a stress-free campus life and enjoyment, which I had there. The things I would really like to see improved are changes in the syllabus to include more management-related subjects.
