A campus that feels like a home.
Placements: Placements here are amazing. Last year, a senior from my course got placed at Amazon with a very good package. The placement team is super helpful. They helped me with mock interviews. I feel confident. I will land a good job also. I don't think that there is any private university in North India matching the level of Chandigarh University.
Infrastructure: The campus is way better than I expected. Our classrooms are modern. Our labs from my course are better. There is a gym. Sports are very good. There are the best food joints and vibes. We have the best events like hackathons and tech invents. There are great tech giants joining for placement drives.
Faculty: The curriculum is very practical. We get to work on live projects and internships, which is so much better than just reading theory. Our teachers are approachable and make sure we understand concepts. We get great learning experiences. They are highly professional.

My painful college experience.
Placements: For placements, our college is good. Companies come to my college from March to April. It doesn't provide 100% placements. They will debar some students from placement drives if they do silly things. This is how our college is going. We are scared even to talk in class.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure-wise, the college is decent. The block which I am studying or my classes are going on is decent. Other blocks like D Block are good. It has many facilities. Basically, D Block is made for foreign students and specialisation students. The hostel is good. The mess food is decent.
Faculty: Faculty members are not very good. They just come to read PPTs and go. Some of them don't even know how to teach programming languages. They teach us subjects which are not of any use. They teach us banking and commerce in bachelors of engineering.
Other: There is so much crowd in my college. College life is so boring. Classes start from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM. After that, most of the students get exhausted and go to their flats, PGs, and homes. According to me, college and life both are so boring.

Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) (Hons.) - Batch of 2026

The college is good with basic facilities available.
Placements: Placement facilities are available in this college. Average package of BCA is 5-6 lacks per annum in this college. The college supports everyone get placements. The lowest package of BCA is 2-3 lacs per annum in this college. Placements are not good since 2021, very few students get placed. Around 45 to 50% students are placed in our academic year with 5.5LPA being the highest package.
Infrastructure: We have smart boards and laboratories in good conditions in the college. The faculty is very supportive and they are very well versed in the domain. The living space is very clean and hygienic, they maintain it very well.
Faculty: The studies are very good in this college. Some teachers have good knowledge while the others have average knowledge. BCA is a very famous course in this college. I studied BCA in this college because I am very passionate about this field. The teaching quality of the faculty is very good but some lecturers are not up to the mark. Somehow, we can manage all this but our education system is not very good. They teach us using a very old technology.

Very interesting and different experience.
Placements: There are a sufficient number of students in this course. The highest average package offered is 18 lakhs per annum, and the lowest is 6 lakhs per annum in sales companies. Companies like Zomato, EazyDiner, and many more sales companies recruit from here. 60 percent of the total students get placed every year. Extra-curricular skills of research and personality development, other than academics, are taught in this course.
Infrastructure: Good labs for practicals and experiments are provided. There are separate labs for characterization in the research field. Good classes with proper ventilation are available. Wi-Fi is available. A separate library for the Physics department is available with updated books. A cafe is present in the department, and also the ground for playing. A dispensary is provided around the corners for health checkups in any situation.
Faculty: The teaching staff is very hardworking and supportive, providing proper notes and guidance. They have a very friendly nature and try to motivate everyone with extra mentoring sessions. Proper and important subjects are included in the curriculum, and proper specialization is given in the last semester with a dissertation. Exams are good, with a combination of 40 percent for internals and 60 percent for externals. The pass percentage depends on the relative marks of the average score of the whole class.
Other: The course is very beneficial to serve in different fields and can provide many opportunities both in the corporate and public sectors. The course could involve more workshops. Different events that involve celebrities and entertainment activities are held. The campus surroundings are safe and very social.

Chandigarh University Review.
Placements: There are around 5000 students who opted to take placements from the college in CSE, but out of them, according to January 2025, half of them have been placed. Most of them are in service-based companies, sales, and got offers from mass recruiters. Product-based companies are very few in number.
Infrastructure: The course is not well-structured, but classes have Wi-Fi, and the infrastructure is very brilliant. But for CSE, classes felt congested in summers, and the crowd is too much. Apart from the mentioned working area, the university has various food courts, libraries, and parks.
Faculty: The faculty is not much interested in students' development, and of course, exceptions are there. But the curriculum is much stricter than it used to be earlier. They don't allow the use of laptops during class. Exams are comparatively very easy, and you can clear them by studying one night before the exam.
Other: The university is very crowded; you will never see its campus empty any time of the day. Fests happen regularly with some good guests from Bollywood.

Review of Chandigarh University (CU).
Placements: I am a first-semester student. From the recently graduated students, only 3% got placed on campus out of 7000 students. The highest package was 55 LPA in campus this year, and the lowest was 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, Google, and Infosys.
Infrastructure: All facilities are present on campus, including libraries in almost all departments, Wi-Fi facilities in hostels, computer labs, physics lab, chemistry lab, and good food in the mess with good taste, though not every day. A sports complex is also available, and you can find a canteen in every department.
Faculty: If I am talking about this, you have to study by yourself; no doubt teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. Yes, the curriculum is relevant, hectic, and teaches students that hard work pays off, making students industry-ready. Mid-semester exams are a little bit easier compared to end-semester exams.
