Coming to your present query no JEE Mains is not a mandatory to seek admission in engineering undergraduate courses for this you may also do what is called as GUJCET. Of course the ranking obtained in JEE Mains is also acceptable for admissions in different engineering streams.

In this university there are 11 different branches of engineering where one can take admission. Depending on the branch the fee varies from 3.9 lacs to 5.1 lakhs.

Yes, Charotar University of Science and Technology does accept NRI and NRI sponsered students for its courses. Students are required to fulfil the admission criteria as specified in the university's guidelines. The university reserves a certain number of total seat intake of each course for NRI students. Students can pay the course fee in both INR and US Dollars. NRI Sponsorship can be from a blood relation/ friend/ colleague/ acquaintance. Students must present the university with the following documets:

• Copy of NRI's Passport
• Sponsorship letter with notary certification 

In CHARUSAT, Application, prospectus and registration fees once paid will not be refunded once the payment is done except some situation. Further, the university refund caution fee deposit. This is so because the Charotar university offers a fullfledged 2 years master of business administration course whereas Indrashil University offers only one year duration post graduate Diploma in management course.

Charotar University of Science and Technology is the best university in Gujarat whereas University of Indrashil University is one of the best universities in Ahmedabad.

CHARUSAT was established in 2000 and is accredited by NAAC. This university is also approved by AICTE and is A grade. They accepted national exam such as JEE Main/ GATE / GPAT/CMAT/  NET and the state exam ie GUJCET. 100% placement is provided with a decent salary package.

Indrashil University is a privately owned and established in 2017 through the Gujarat Private Universities Act 2017 and is recognised by UGC. It offers100% placement with an internship of 10 months. Indrashil University also offers a range of research facilities for students.

If the student appeared in JEE exam, then there is no need to give entrance exam of Charotar University. 

If not appeared in JEE then they have to give entrance exam ie GUJCET. 

Students must be passed with aggregate 50% in PCM.
