Frequently Asked Questions

Q:   Does DAVV require CUET?

A:

Admission into DAVV Indore for the year 2024 is based on the CUET exam. The CUET UG 2024 exam is scheduled to take place from May 15 to 31, 2024, while the CUET PG 2024 exam is going to be conducted between March 11 to 28, 2024. NTA is expected to release the CUET PG 2024 Application Form in the 1st week of January 2024. Admission into various programmes such as BVoc, MPharm, MVoc, and Diploma programmes does not require taking the CUET exam.

Q:   How many colleges are there under DAVV Indore?

A:

Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, through around 239 institutes and various other schools of study, offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and other courses to students across Journalism, Computer Engineering, and various other streams. The below-mentioned table reflects on some of the colleges affiliated with the DAVV:

DAVV Affiliated Colleges

Acropolis Institute of Technology and Research, Manglia Chouraha, Indore

Akshay Academy CollegeBherulal Patidar Government PG College-

Q:   Can a student get admission to DAVV without CUET?

A:

Admission without CUET (Common University Entrance Test) is possible for some courses only like LL. M., and others. but for these courses,  CUET-PG is accepted by the university. So, students can get admission without CUET but the student have to change the course they are opting for. So, the best solution is to prepare in advance for the CUET and get admission in the relevant course. Seats are limited and candidates applying through CUET are many. Only good preparation can assist in getting admission to various courses like BTech, BSc, B.A. and others.

Q:   Does DAVV offer merit-based admission to the students?

A:
Admission to various courses is based on merit and scores of entrance exams. Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya does not give direct admission to students. Candidates need to write the CUET entrance exam which is conducted by the NTA. After clearing the CUET entrance exam, students may get a provisional allotment of seats in the college. Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya admission to most of the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes is offered on the basis of marks scored in the Common University Entrance Test.

Q:   Is Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya good for BBA?

A:
{Source: BBA students & alumni}

Is Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) good for BBA?

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's what stands out:

* Placement Records: Over 90% of students get placed, with an average salary package ranging from INR7 LPA to INR8 LPA. The highest package offered was INR15 LPA. Top recruiters include hospitals, banks, and IT firms.
* Faculty Members: Professors are well-educated, knowledgeable, and supportive. Many hold PhDs and are willing to help students clarify doubts and prepare for internships and placements.
* Curriculum: The course curriculum is dynamic, covering theoretical and practical aspects of management. Students appreciate the relevance of the programme to the current business environment.
* Infrastructure: The college has a good infrastructure, including Wi-Fi, computer labs, library, and hostels. While some reviewers mentioned that the washrooms could improve, overall, the facilities are considered decent.
* Campus Life: The campus is lively, with various events and festivals organized throughout the year. Students enjoy interacting with peers and seniors outside of academics.
* Scholarship Opportunities: Meritorious students receive scholarships from the state government, while some companies also offer sponsorship for deserving candidates.

However, some drawbacks to consider:

* Difficulty Level: Some students found the course challenging, particularly those without prior math experience. Others felt that the curriculum could benefit from additional focus on practical applications.
* Internship Support: While professors are willing to assist with internships, some students reported having to seek out opportunities independently due to limited support from the college.

Overall, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya seems to be a good choice for BBA aspirants looking for a strong academic foundation, good placement records, and a vibrant campus culture. However, students should be prepared for a challenging course load and potentially limited support for securing internships.

Absolute dissatisfaction with School of Commerce .
Placements: 0% of students were placed under the undergrad programme of B.Com in accounting and tax management. There are placement cells only for the MBA foreign trade students. Neither were any internships offered to us Even the highest package for the MBA placement programme was Rs.6 Lacs PA.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi: School of commerce has Wi-Fi but probably for only facilities because the students were never able to get the password. Labs: Well conditioned computer lab only Classroom: Poorly maintained with broken benches and doors. Some of the fans do not work properly. Library: The library inside the department does not really offer a wide variety of books but the central library just about 100 meters from the college premises does. Hostel: Quite better than the college premises Food: Available in the Hostel Medical Facilities: None Sports and Games: Sports activities are encouraged at a good level. DAVV offers a common marathon ground, badminton court, volleyball court, basketball court etc. For all the departments.
Faculty: Teachers: The faculty members includes Ph.D. holders and non-PhD holders as well. Knowledgeable: Average Teaching quality: The teachers in this college are more concerned about getting the students submit their assignments on time but not on completing their syllabus on time. As a consequence, the students have to study even what's not taught on their own in the last few days before the exam. Relevance: Course Curriculum is Average if connected with the competitive world of employment. It does not really prepare students for industry or jobs. Semester Exams: Difficulty level of exams is moderate and 33% is the pass percentage but the faculty members are cooperative enough to give grace marks.
Other: I got this course in the 2nd round of counseling of DAVV in 2020. I had wished to get into IIPS but didn't get the merit to do so. Hence, I had to settle for School of Commerce and this course. The best thing about this course is the knowledge gain about IndianbTaxation System and Banking System. Teaching style and quality and more exposure to skill developments, if improved, can completely change this college Events and Fest are rare to be held. But all the festivals are celebrated with a humongous zeal and enthusiasm. Campus Crowd is a mix of all the districts of Madhya Pradesh, majority being Indore. Campus is surrounded by lush greenery, flowers, gardens with benches etc. Medhavi Scholarship and others are offered to economically backward students. Extracurricular activities are limited to dance, painting and music competitions, and those too are held very often.

Good faculty and atmosphere and support.
Placements: There were placemen only for profe courses. No placeme for us. No imternsh. No offers. Student need to figure it out at there own. Also there were all facilities for professionals courses like MBA, engineering etc. As a B.Com student I did not got any opportunity or any campus.
Infrastructure: Very good library plus teaches support, labs, fans and proper lights. But they can improve in infrastructure and cleaning. Hostels are quit expensive they should reduce the cost. Average food no medical facilities. They can improve it and maintain security.
Faculty: Yes teaches are really good and supportive but the other facultirs related to document work were not supportive at all. They bother studedebts many time. They can improve their sitti arrangements for exam also provide more facilities for blind and handicapped students.
Other: Teaching faculty is good, environment is also good they need to work on there washrooms and cleaning as well. And should speed up about any formal work it took 2-3 days for any small work they are too formal and time taking.115.

Good college must join and also here you find many things .
Placements: Good college from placement but only if you've have a talent and also please note if you're doing B.Com then it is tough. Take B.Teach or mass communication instead or anything else which now what I'm saying is ki you can joining college for placements is not good generate jobs instead try start-up .
Infrastructure: Too good big buildings ambience is also good hostel is very cheap and good facilities provided la le but please note this is not good for girls. Boys take girls to their room for studies and then they force them for hope you know and understand they force them for studies not anything bad.
Faculty: Too good very good too much facilities and good for girl as safety is too good you can faculty members are too help full and also scholarship and help from management is really appreciated. Also you can come and enjoy life also here and I don't have anything now .
Other: Nice and hot girls?

The davv is the best university.
Placements: 55% required for placement in davv university. The average package is 6 Lacs to 12 Lacs per annum. Tcs, the income tax office, SBI bank, RBI bank and etc. 50% at least in good companies Income tax officer, income tax head officer, and the manager in the bank.
Infrastructure: Lab, classes, library, and Wi-Fi all are good, there is much memory on our campus. The facility of hostel is safe and secure for both boys and girls. The food of the canteen is hygienic, the test of food is too good, the sports and games are also available.
Faculty: Teachers, seniors, and juniors all are very nice in behaviour the teachers, seniors are very supportive and very helpful. We are glad about that. Yes, of course is it. The semester exams are difficult but it's okay nothing is easy in life 60 % is required.
Other: 1. Because this are best field. 2. All are good 3. The event campus scholarships and etc. Are was so good.

A course which can be completed part time .
Placements: Generally placement is offered to almost 70% of students The highest package was 500,000 and the lowest package is 250000 The top recruiter were TCS, Infosys, JSW, tasks some other companies Almost 90% of students got internship in companies such as tasks, TCS, cipla etc. Some of the roles offered by companies were accountant, receptionist, HR, department head etc.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi was not available in the compus. The ambience was good. The staff was quite supportive. Library was available with good quantity of books. Classroom were well ventilated but they were not air conditioning and were well furnished I didn't opted for hostel so I don't have much knowledge about it .
Faculty: The teachers were intelligent and knowledgeable The best thing was they give practical knowledge along with the curriculum According to me, the course curriculum is not satisfactory one should do other certification courses along with this course to become industry ready The exams are not difficult at all, the course can be easily done by an average student .
Other: I choose to do this course because I was already preparing for company secretary exams, so I needed a course which I could cover easily. The best thing about this course is that it is very easy to complete. I would recommend to add some practical questions in the exams so that students do not only mug up thd theory instead they would yo understand how yhe things actually work Some quiz and competition are conducted by davv also government scholarship are also available .
