Situated in Indore, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University of Social Sciences (BRAUSS) is a state university which was established in 2016 by the Government of Madhya Pradesh. It is recognised as the first ‘University of Social Sciences’ in the country and has gained approval from the University Grants Commission (UGC) and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
It offers five courses at UG, PG and doctoral level in the field of Arts & Humanities, Business & Social Sciences, Language & Cultural, Medicine & Health, Engineering, Science & Technology, among others. These courses are offered and managed by five schools that are an integral part of this University. These include School of Dr. Ambedkar's Thoughts & Philosophy, School of Social Sciences & Management Studies, School of Agriculture and Rural Development, School of Education and Skill Development and School of Law & Social Justice.

BRAUSS Admission Process
The procedure to apply for BRAUSS admission 2021 is conducted in both online as well as offline modes. Candidates seeking admissions to various programmes offered by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University of Social Sciences must qualify certain criteria as detailed below:
- MSc, MPhil and PhD: Admission to these programmes is based on a candidate’s score in the entrance test conducted by the University
- MA: Admission is granted based on marks in the previous qualifying exam i.e. Bachelor’s degree
- BA: Candidates are offered admissions on the basis of their merit in Class 12 exam
