Q:   Can I join Dr MGR Educational and Research Institute directly?

A: 

That depends on what you mean by "Directly" I suppose that you mean without JEE/ NEET, and if thats so, then yes you surely can based upon your 12th percentage. But its highly recommendable that you appear for JEE/NEET as it opens doors for other Nationally Recognized colleges like NITs and GFTIs and if you have already given and not getting any college than yes you can surely gain an admission by 12th percentage basis  in this college.

Q:   Can I get direct admission at Dr MGR Educational and Research Institute?

A: 

No, you cannot get direct admission to any course at Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute. The institute follows a strict admission process based on the merit and entrance exams of the candidates.

For B.Tech courses, you need to appear for JEE Main and participate in CSAB counseling. For B.Arch courses, you need to appear for NATA. For MBBS, BDS, MDS, and Nursing courses, you need to appear for NEET.

For all other courses, you need to appear for the All India Common Entrance Examination, and MGR Engineering Entrance Examination (MGREEE) conducted by the institute at various locations.

Application forms for MBBS, BDS, MDS, and Nursing courses at Dr. MGR Educational and Research Institute are available from May to June each year. The entrance exam (NEET) is conducted in September.

A: 

No, Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute does not refund fees. B.Tech Fees is 2 Lakh upto 3.2 Lakh.,MBA fees is 1.1 Lakh upto 1.6 Lakh, Bsc fees is 1.1 Lakh upto 5.6 Lakh. 

LLB course fee is to high goes upto 12 LPA. These are the tuition fee and application fee is not included in this . These fees are non refundable once the admission is done.

Good teachers but slightly poor infrastructure, not sure about the placements.
Placements: The reason I give three is that this is a new course they have started and yet to see proper answers from it, thus I am not sure if they will provide packages. We can join companies as their IT officer, CBI, and other government sectors, I guess the HOD will discuss more about it in the future.
Infrastructure: We do have Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and library, but the quality may not be top notch one, but I guess that's what you get when most of the students are disciplined. So, I will say it's pretty good and does have 2 basketball grounds, 2 volleyball grounds, a big parking lot, etc.
Faculty: The teachers are good at clearing the concepts but kind of slow sometimes, which will lead to rushing in the end and making the students pressured. Only that. Other than this, they do their work, it's the students who should utilize them properly by supporting each other.
Other: I would like them to actually try to do something for all the first years and try to start the classes a bit earlier (not at 8 o'clock, I am talking about April or June).

This university has an excellent track record in placement not only in leading software companies like TCS, IBM, Infosys, Accenture, HCL, Caritor, Polaris, Wipro, L&T, Infotech, Satyam, etc., but also in major industries.
Infrastructure: Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute has a good infrastructure. It provides a vast opportunity for students who are interested in sports and extracurricular activities. It has great technical and technological support like a laboratory, library, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are building a healthy relationship with students, which helps students to ask any doubt without any hesitation. Teachers in Dr. M.G.R. are well educated and give a quality education. They are well-behaved with the students. They conduct many tests, which help students to score good marks in university exams.

Not very satisfied with. No campus life.
Placements: Not many students were placed in my course. I guess the lowest package offered was 3 LPA. the highest being 6 LPA. Companies like Wipro, cognizant, Equitos, and Ciranda IT. As far as I know, not many people were also offered internships. Biotechnologists and bioinformatics are the top roles offered in my course.
Infrastructure: We have good and secured lab facilities with well-constructed buildings. Playgrounds are available for a variety of sports, which makes us more interested in going to college. At the hostel, we have good maintenance and food facilities. Non-vegetarian food is provided for everyone, with a small canteen available for our convenience.
Faculty: The teachers are friendly to deal with. The staff is also good at teaching and student interactions. Exams are not so difficult if the students follow the instructions given beforehand by the staff. And the curriculum is also good to begin with, covering almost everything in biotechnology.
Other: My department conducts two annual events, such as a symposium on Sarvasastra and a meeting of Biozone. The college is not very eventful. No culturals and no tour.

Yes, somewhat satisfied with this college.
Placements: As of the last passed-out batch, 70% of students got placements in good architect offices, with a salary ranging from 15,000 to 30,000 per month. For those who were not placed, the college provides support by recommending them for opportunities. The top role is Architect.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good, and they are continually improving it, such as adding ACs. Wi-Fi is available but very slow. Classrooms and labs are well-equipped, and the library has a good collection of books. However, restrooms are a drawback as they are not well maintained. The canteen is one of the best things in the college.
Faculty: In the Department of Architecture, and most other departments, faculty members are very knowledgeable and friendly. They conduct exams like the CAT Model, which are very helpful for students. The pass percentage for internal exams should be around 50%, and for external exams, it is also around 50%.
Other: In the Architecture department, students are encouraged to participate in more competitions and extracurricular activities. The campus feels less crowded compared to other architecture colleges in Chennai.

Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute in BPT course admission information.
Placements: This college provides the best facilities for every student and allows all students to grab facilities. To be eligible for campus placement one is required to score 60% of marks in their marksheet. They offer the best salary package salary like 3 LPA to 6 LPA.
Infrastructure: This college had few and minimum facilities which were provided such as fast Wi-Fi, classrooms, bathrooms, labs, library, garden, canteen etc. Hostel facilities were not provided in our college. Canteen food was very tasty and clean.
Faculty: Teachers had very high degree qualifications with many Delhi University qualified. Teachers were very nice in teaching and knowledge provided to students. This course was a total of 3 years duration with 6 to 7 semester exams. Exams were very hard to pass.

Good with maintenance and dissatisfied because of placements and staff.
Placements: The percentage of placements in your college is less than 30% and the highest package is 13 LPA and the average package is 3 LPA. There are no top recruiting companies for every course, no specific internships in our course and no top roles offered in our course .
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is so beautiful and labs, library and classrooms are dissatisfied with staff and placements. The food is good and the medical facilities are excellent. There are no fests in college and they keep yearly, once-a-year games for the chairman's birthday .
Faculty: Not so strict. You can come and go anytime. There are no restrictions on that kind of stuff. No one is going to ask about attendance. As well as your studies. If you want to learn something, you have to do it on your own. The only thing you want to note is that you should not indulge in any problems. And for more details, check out other reviews .
Other: It was a great college. It got a reputation from their staff and teachers. I would surely recommend any newly joining student in any field to have a look at this college. Since it has been deemed necessary, a donation could be possible. But the environment of the college will mesmerize you with its amazing infrastructure. The students are quite well behaved.
