DU JAT 2022 result will not be released by NTA as the exam has been scrapped. The result for DU JAT 2022 will be released in the form of a scorecard. Candidates can download the DU JAT scorecard using the login credentials including the application form number and date of birth. Post-release of the result, Delhi University releases a rank list based on the exam score and best of four per cent. Admission into the DU JAT participating institutes is based on the DU JAT rank list. Test takers can access their scorecards online from the official website of NTA (nta.ac.in). Tie-Breaking Procedure in DU JAT

In case of a tie in the final composite score derived after specified weightage given to class 12trh and JAT score, Delhi University will follow the below-mentioned procedure to break the tie.

  1. Candidates with a higher percentage of marks (aggregate of best four subjects including one language) in the qualifying exam are given first preference.
  2. Candidates with a higher score in the entrance test are considered first for admission.
  3. Those with a higher percentage of marks in aggregate of the best five subjects including one language in Class 12 is considered first.
  4. Candidates with an earlier birth date as mentioned in the Class 10 certificate is considered first for allotment.

DU JAT Result 2022 – Calculation of Scores

The scores of candidates are calculated in the following manner-

  • For the correct answer in the exam, candidates score 4 marks
  • For incorrect response, one mark is deducted
  • Maximum marks of the test are 400
  • The equated percentage is calculated after normalising the marks of candidates
  • The total score of candidates is arrived at based on the number of correct and incorrect answers

Normalisation of Marks in DU JAT 2022

DU JAT has been conducted in two shifts. To evaluate test takers with equality, NTA has accepted the below-mentioned normalisation process:

  • The scores of candidates appearing in DU JAT 2022 will be normalised using the equi-percentile method. The percentile ranks so derived and equated is used to finalise the merit list.
  • A large number of candidates appeared in the exam which was conducted in two shifts. The question papers of each shift were different, therefore, this led to differences in the difficulty level of each shift. To adjust the difficulty levels of question papers, the marks of candidates are normalised.
  • The normalisation of marks is done after the completion of the tests for all shifts for the same subject.

DU JAT Result 2022 – Merit Ranking

Candidates are allotted ranks based on normalised marks. The following factors are taken into consideration for determining the ranks of candidates.

  • Number of appeared candidates
  • Exam difficulty level
  • Maximum marks obtained in the examination
  • Candidate’s average score

What after Declaration of DU JAT Result 2022?

Candidates need to complete the admission formalities at the colleges within the specified time frame. Candidates allotted colleges and courses are required to provide the necessary documents at the time of admission. Applicants should take a printout of the registration form and list of necessary documents or certificates and proceed to the respective colleges for document verification. Candidates need to pay the required fees for admission after the college/department approves their application.
