Absolutely satisfied because of friends, good placements in 2020, and really good infrastructure.
Placements: If there are 100% of students who have passed the 10th grade, then most of 40% of students select commerce in 11th or 12th grade, and after that, some students select Bachelor of commerce. The lowest package was 70,000 per year. And the highest package was 300000 yearly. The companies are: HDFC Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Aditya Birla Group, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure structure of this college is too good. It feels like heritage. And at the same time, it's modern too. There is always available Wi-Fi and a library, but the classrooms are too big. At this college, there is no canteen facility. But if you are interested in sports or DP and want to go into another field, you have a good chance of doing so.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful in their own subjects and all teachers are available for you if you have any doubt. Yes, the students will get the job of accountant. But before that, you should do your internship. After that, they will pay you more based on your experience. There are 6 semesters in this college for this course. The pass percentage is 55%. It's a good number for your career.
Other: I was interested in accounting. That's why I chose this course. I could do CA also. But in that course, the exam is too hard and you have to clear the 8 semester papers. And if you don't clear any one paper, you are not accepted as a CA.

{Source: M.A. students & alumni}

Here's a summary of what current students and alumni have to say:

* Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, providing practical applications in teaching. Course curriculum is relevant for future readiness.

* Infrastructure: Good infrastructure, with Wi-Fi facilities, well-decorated classrooms, a library full of books, and decent hospital facilities.

* Placement: Placement percentage is 70%, with top roles like teachers, content writers, publishers, etc. the highest package is INR5 LPA, the lowest is INR1.2 LPA, and average is INR3 LPA. Companies offering placements include schools, colleges, publishing houses, and students receive internship opportunities.

* Research Opportunities: Faculty members guide students in publishing research papers, and the university offers opportunities to enroll in GUSEC for entrepreneurial ventures.

* Scholarship Availability: Scholarships are available for deserving students.

However, there are some concerns:

* Poor Placement Cell: The placement cell is ineffective for literature students, making it challenging for graduates to find employment directly related to their field of study.

* Limited Job Prospects: While publishing houses and educational institutions might consider literature graduates, job prospects are limited compared to other fields.

In conclusion, while M.A. at Gujarat University offers a strong foundation in literature, students must be prepared for limited job prospects due to the absence of a dedicated placement cell specifically for literature majors.
