The Best Value for Money University.
Placements: I heard the review about placement from my seniors and they were not satisfied. In my profession, there is no the highest/the lowest package someone can offer. You can earn as much as you can from your knowledge and talent and you have to just be willing to work hard.
Infrastructure: Campus and Infrastructure is very good although many facilities like Wi-Fi and mudcourt is not available. The facilities provided to us are good enough to satisfy us but I still think our canteen has very limited range of foods and the food they are offering is completely unhealthy.
Faculty: In terms of teaching, I think our teachers are world-class but our Head of Department is not a good teacher. But other professors are very good in terms of explaining and connecting with the students.
Other: I chose this course because I really wanted to become a professional Lawyer and the best thing about this course is that I can do my internship at Bilaspur Highcourt.

I am highly satisfied with the facilities.
Placements: Placements here are good to a certain extent, and GGU have an internship opportunity. This course at GGU is very popular. It is like a normal college but not extraordinary colleges like IIT or NLU which have great placement record. Here only 20% of the students get a job opportunity.
Infrastructure: This college has one of the best infrastructures in India, and the campus is spread over 650 acres and lush green. The library is very good, and there is no need to buy any book. You will get all books in the library. Our campus has a very good Wi-Fi network. The problem is mess food.
Faculty: Our university follows CBCS system, i.e., Credit Base Choice System, which has certain benefits to students and teachers. All exams are conducted in a strict manner and on time. Faculty members here are very good and helpful, and they are from reputed institutes like IIT, JNU or DU.

The university is good and budget-friendly.
Placements: The university does not provide much placement opportunities. Those who have potential will find their own way to make their career. The university provides few placement opportunities. The salary packages offered is less.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities of our university are quite satisfactory. The college provides every facility like canteen, library, Wi-Fi, but the labs don't have wide access to students. Some departments in our university don't have good academic building and advanced technology.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are quite supportive and knowledgeable. They try to make the students understand every topic of the syllabus. They also guide about the career scope which one has to build up their career. They clear all the doubts of the students.
Other: The best thing about our course is this university does not charge high fees in this course. Single girl child, SC, ST and OBC students are provided with scholarship. The syllabus needs to be revised in the present scenario.

Other: Our college is good in studies. However there is a lack of proper infrastructures in the college. There is an only one canteen which is not sufficient for all the students of the college and its food quality is also very bad for health. Faculty in B.com department is not so much good. However, there are some very experienced teacher’s available there. Though our college is best in terms of green environment.

Q:   How does the placement cell for B.E. / B.Tech at Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya assist students in getting placed?

A:
{Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Placement Cell Assistance for BE/BTech Students at Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya

Unfortunately, our placement cell is not functioning effectively, and most students rely on off-campus placements, internships, or pursuing higher education (MS/MBA). Few students from CSE and IT branches had limited placements last year.

Here are some key findings:

* Limited Placements: Only a handful of students get placed annually, mainly in coaching institutions like Allen, Vibrant, and Career Point as faculty.
* Low Salary Packages: Average salary packages offered are around INR2-3 Lacs per annum.
* No Industry Exposure: The college does not provide industrial visits or projects, making students less industry-ready.
* GATE Exam Focus: Most students focus on clearing the GATE exam to secure PSUs or IITs/NITs for further studies.
* Internships Mandatory: Third-year students are required to participate in internships, which often lead to full-time employment offers.
* Placement Cell Issues: There is a lack of cooperation from faculty members, and the placement cell seems to be ineffective in securing job offers for students.

These challenges emphasize the importance of self-preparation and exploring alternative options for students seeking career advancement.
