Q:   Is MCA at GNDU a good choice?

A:
{Source: MCA students & alumni}

Here's a summary of the feedback from students and alumni:

Pros:

* Cooperative faculty: Faculty members, clerical staff, and the head of the department are very cooperative and supportive, creating a comfortable learning environment.
* Good placements: Many students get placed in reputed companies, with the highest package reaching up to INR18 LPA and the average package being around INR3.54 LPA.
* Infrastructure: The university has a beautiful campus with plenty of greenery, modern facilities, and separate hostels for boys and girls.
* Festivals and events: The university organizes various fests and events throughout the year, providing opportunities for students to showcase their talents.
* Knowledgeable teachers: Most teachers are knowledgeable and experienced in their fields, making them effective mentors.

Cons:

* Curriculum limitations: While the curriculum covers important topics like artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, it may not be entirely up-to-date or practical-focused.
* Limited industry exposure: Some students felt that they didn't receive sufficient industry exposure or hands-on experience during their studies.
* Poor Wi-Fi connectivity: Unfortunately, Wi-Fi connectivity is limited within the university, affecting access to resources and communication.

Overall, MCA at GNDU seems to be a good choice for those seeking a supportive learning environment, good placements, and a strong foundation in computer science. However, students should be aware of the potential limitations of the curriculum and lack of industry exposure.

Q:   How successful is the placement cell in securing jobs for MCA students at GNDU?

A:
{Source: MCA students & alumni}

Placement Cell Success Rate

Based on student reviews and feedback, here's an analysis of how successful the placement cell is in securing jobs for MCA students at Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU):

* Companies visiting campus: While not mentioned frequently, one student mentions that "placements companies visit here, but not that much."
* Batch-wise placement success: Another student shares their positive experience, stating, "In our batch, many students were placed in many good companies with high salary packages."

From these statements, we can infer that:

* The placement cell at GNDU receives occasional visits from companies, which may not be frequent enough to cater to all students.
* Despite this, the university seems to have achieved a decent placement record for its MCA batches in the past, with many students being placed in reputed companies with competitive salaries.

Overall, while the placement cell may not be as active as expected, it appears to have made significant efforts to secure job opportunities for MCA students, leading to respectable placement outcomes.

TCS and Nucleus software placed student review .
Placements: Companies like Infogain, KPMG, Accenture, Amdocs, Xenon Sack, TCS Ninja, TCS Digital, TT Consultant, Capgemini, Chicmic, and Kochar Tech visited campus for recruitment. Though the recession severely impacted campus placement, many students still got placed.
Infrastructure: Facilities are quite appropriate. Smart libraries looks Department Labs are also good. Separate boys and girls hostels are available and quality of hostel food is also fine. The university takes care of nature as well. So much greenery is there. Personally, I just loved the time I spent there.
Faculty: The faculty members, clerical staff, and the head of the department are very cooperative, always willing to assist students with their academic and administrative needs. Their supportive attitude significantly enhances the learning environment and helps students feel comfortable and motivated. Though the curriculum could be improved, it still includes important subjects like artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.
Other: Additionally, I am really grateful to GNDU, especially the Department of CSC for molding my career and arming me with the essential skills that resulted in my being offered the positions of ASE at Nucleus Software and System Engineer at TCS. Thanks to the Placement Cell's unwavering support and guidance, they really helped me out by guiding me along the way. The memories and experiences I gathered during my university life will forever remain in my heart.

I am highly satisfied because of the knowledge and the confidence I gained while studying.
Placements: About 80-85% of students are placed in a course. Te the highest package is around 35 Lacs yearly and the lowest package is 15lakh yearly. So according to me, the packages provide to students are good and for starting a career it's not bad to gain this amount.
Infrastructure: The excellent environment in the department. Friendly teachers and seniors who help every time. All hostel facilities are there like Wi-Fi, an emergency medical facility, separate block for sports and games. Food in mess and canteen is good and is prepared separately.
Faculty: Everyone is helpful. Each senior in the department and every teacher is helpful. They try to provide knowledge most simply so each student can easily understand what they are trying to say to us. Exams are also not difficult from my perspective.
Other: I want to pursue my post-graduation MCA course because I want to work with companies to enhance my knowledge and gain more knowledge about things.

An honest Review of Guru Nanak Dev University.
Placements: Around 40% of students get placed. The highest package on campus goes to 7-8 LPA, while off campus it gets up to 18 LPA, totally based on your skills. average package is around 3.5–4 LPA. top recruiting companies which come to campus are TCS, Nagarro, Accenture, Cap Gemini, etc. For internships, its almost same because most companies would offer you internships first and then after 6 months of internship, they would hire you. Top roles totally depends on your skillset.
Infrastructure: Classrooms do not provide any special facilities, although every department has its own library and there is a huge main library too. You will get beautiful campus with alot of greenery, canteens, big parking spaces, etc. Hostels have mess and canteens; the quality of food is fine and on some days you will also get special meals.
Faculty: Teachers are very serious about their jobs and are knowledgeable; however, the curriculum will only help you get the degree. For one to get industry-ready, he/she has to learn skills that solely depend on them. Semester exams are not that difficult, but only if you study, because the percentage of students getting supplemented is really high, specifically in this course. The key is to study important questions and study according to sections.
Other: You will get to experience a lot of festivals and get a lot of opportunities to participate in sports and societies. The campus surroundings are amazing. You can get scholarships, like poor aid funds, for your entire semester if you have a financial crisis going on. Choosing this course is somehow an alternative way to get into the teaching world if you have not opted for non-medical in 12 standard, which was my main reason.

Good staff and faculty, but not satisfied with the syllabus.
Placements: MCA placements were okay this year. Almost 60-70% of the class got placed. The minimum package was 3 LPA and the highest was 15 LPA. Well, known companies like TCS, Infosys Accenture, Capgemini, Nagar, and so many others organized online campus drives due to the current pandemic situation. Many students got internships in these companies also.
Infrastructure: Labs are fully air-conditioned equipped and all systems are equipped with good computer systems Projectors are not so good. Wi-Fi is available, but only for the staff and placement cell, not for students. The hostel is nice, too crowdy, and they got the best rajma rice.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are very helpful. But, the syllabus is not so accurate and updated, there are more theoretical subjects than practicals. You are only prepared for the semester examination, but you will not get any industry-ready knowledge. Semester exams are okay, you get enough time to get prepared for the finals. There is one minor exam for 20 marks and one final which is 80 marks.
Other: I choose this course as I wanted to have a career in IT. Guru Nanak Dev University has established its name all around the world and is UGC approved. Although everything is good at GNDU, I wished they had updated their syllabus and had more practical subjects. Besides this, GNDU is very well known for its fests and events. All campuses under GNDU take part in Youth Fest which is the annual fest of GNDU and its affiliated colleges. There is also another annual fest known as Jashan which is inter-department.

More placements opportunities should be there and infrastructure should be improved.
Placements: Placements companies visit here but not that much. This college had a good placements facility. In our batch, many students were placed in many good companies with high salary packages. I suggest there should be more companies coming to our campus so that more students can be placed.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college was good. It provides many buildings. The Library of this college was open all day. Some buildings were old and some were new. There were four girls hostels, and 2 canteens, 3 hostels were old, and 1 hostel had a new building with elevators, and a Wi-Fi facility was provided.
Faculty: Faculty members were very educated and experienced. They also guide students with our subjects and of the subjects. They were very helpful, and they had complete excel in their subject. They provide all the information clearly so that students can understand it better.
Other: Many students enroll here but enroll system was tough. They should provide more seats in each course. There were many events and fests organised every year, and students can show their skills. They also provide scholarships to needy students.

An Honest university review.
Placements: Around 40% of students get place on campus top recruiting companies are TCS Accenture,Nagarro,Deloitte etc. The number of students get internship is almost same because companies for select you for the internship and then higher you for jobs. Role offered depends on the skills you have.
Infrastructure: Classroom do not provide any extra facilities . There are basic desks, lights and fans that's it. The hostels have mess and canteen facilities and their are turns of opportunities to get in sports. Food of mess is fine you will also get special menu or treat on Some days.
Faculty: Teachers here are very helpful and serious about the job although the curriculum will only help you with get the degrees in order to get industry ready you have to be solely dependent on skill which is your responsibility. Exam are not tough to pass if you study although the past percentage is 70-75.
Other: You will get to experience a lot of festivals such as youth festival and you can enhance your networking by engaging in various society.
