Right place for a bright career.
Placements: According to College Deep, the placement of students is one hundred percent, but according to me, only 16% of students got placed in good company. The highest package is 46 Lacs. Whereas the average package is 3 to 4 Lacs in the course. The top recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, HCL, and Sectra, and there was fewer opportunities for internships.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is good. Wi-Fi is there, labs are there, classrooms are fully air-conditioned, and there is a library. The canteen is also good. The food in the hostel is average, and the facilities are good. Various sports and games are held regularly.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, and the quality of teaching is good. Yes, this course is very relevant, and it makes us industry-ready. The level of exams is average. Almost 70 to 80 percent of students pass, and in exams, the questions are based on what they teach in our classes.

A student's perspective: Life at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.
Placements: Around 55%-60% of students are placed in companies. The highest salary package offered is 44 LPA. The average salary package offered is 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Google, TCS, Tata, Amazon, and many others. Placement-wise, our university is very good. The average salary packages offered are also very good.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure-wise and hostel-wise, our university is very good. It has all the facilities like Wi-Fi, high teach labs, etc. Classrooms are very big. One thing that we miss in our classrooms are air conditioners. During summer, it's very humid and we need air conditioners in our classrooms. Libraries are very big. I guess, It is one of the biggest library among nearby colleges. It has large collection of books for all the subjects offered by our university. I am not a hosteller, so I don't know much about hostels. My friends who stay in hostels says that the hostels are good, but air conditioners are needed in rooms. The quality of food in our canteen is very good. It has a big list on menu. A mess is good. Facilities are good for sports and games at university. It has a lot of sports opportunities available for students.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, highly qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is top-notch. Course curriculum is one of the best compared to other universities or colleges. It makes students to be industry-ready based on practical and it is one of the best. There are 8 semesters. In each semester, there are two exams, one is practical, one mid semester, and one end semester. Pass percentage is 33%. The difficulty level of exams is moderate. Students who study regularly will not find the exams difficult.
Other: My course is Bachelor's in Computer Science Engineering, I would say it is one of the best course available at our university. The department known as CET department, and it's building is Maharaja Ranjit Singh Bhawan. I chose this course because of my interest in computers. The best thing about our course is it is relevant to industry and students secure placements. Course could be improved by providing more projects, more practicals based on projects in computer language. They provide many extracurricular activities, especially in our department. They organies many fests. One of the famous fest called "Jashan" is organized in the month of November. Students from different departments participate in different activities like dance, singing, role-playing, etc. Crowd at our university is pretty average. Campus is beautiful and surroundings are also beautiful.

The faculty is very supportive and qualified. Not so good infrastructure.
Placements: Only a few students got internships at some random companies. Other students are also trying to get into some company, and some are following their passion. The highest package offered is 7L per year, while the average package is 3.5L per year. About 40% of students got placed.
Infrastructure: The faculty is good, and the infrastructure is also good. The hostel is good but too small, with only a single mess for two wings. It also does not offer many indoor or outdoor games or activities on a regular basis. Classrooms do not offer Wi-Fi. The campus has a library and labs.
Faculty: Teachers are very good and supportive. They help you where you need them. The course makes the student future-ready. Semester exams are held very strictly without any disturbances. Passing marks are 24 out of 60 in externals and 24 out of 40 in internals.
Other: This course can help in the development of your skills.

Top recruiting companies are Capgemini, Wipro, TCS, and many more. There are several roles offered as per companies' requirements and students skills. Training and internships are also provided.
Infrastructure: All facilities are available in our college like Wi-Fi, all kinds of labs, E-classrooms, a library with wide collections of books, a seminar hall, an auditorium, a canteen, and many more. The hostel has great infrastructure and provides healthy food. Many tournaments are held in the hostel.
Faculty: We have well-qualified faculty members who have great experience. Their teaching methods are very good. The semester is not tough if students follow teachers' guidelines and attend all classes. The course is relevant for further and makes students industry-ready.
Other: I chose this course because it has a potential in future. Every new day in our college is with new learning. As of now, countless events and fests are held here. Infrastructure: Wi-Fi-enabled classrooms, well-equipped labs, and a comprehensive library for its courses. Hostel facilities generally include Wi-Fi, basic accommodation, and a secure environment, with messes serving a variety of hygienic meals. Sports, medical facilities, etc., are there.

An insider's perspective on Guru Nanak Dev University.
Placements: Our university offers an 80% placement rate to students. The highest salary package offered is about 44 LPA, whereas the lowest salary package offered is nearly about 1 LPA. The average salary package offered is 6.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course are Amazon, Wipro, TCL, etc.
Infrastructure: I'm personally not a hostel student but what I have heard from my friends is that the hostel facilities are not very over the top. There are average facilities available like Wi-Fi barely works but the library is open 24/7. Students can assess it anytime they want. Classrooms are good in terms of the benches but fans usually stop working even in the hot humid summer days. Other facilities available in hostel are gym area, various grounds for sports activities, and a park with a garden.
Faculty: Teachers are not very helpful, except a few. In the first semester of our course, only Math teacher is cooperative with our class. Other teachers won't clear our doubts and don't complete the syllabus. Semester exams are generally not very difficult except Math and Mechanics. I got to know this from our seniors.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in the Computer Engineering field and also in this university. Because it has various labs and clubs that provide exposure. The thing I would like to improve about our course is the fee structure as it is very high from what it should be. Events and fests are really good. They are organized throughout the year. For example, the youth festival is conducted every year. Crowds from various universities attend to see the youth festival. There are a lot of extracurricular activities such as tech clubs, placement clubs, cosmogenic activities, and so on.
