    Effectiveness of Placement Cell for B.E./B.Tech Programs at Gurugram University

    Based on student reviews and feedback, here's what we found:

    * Placement Rate: One student mentioned that the college had a placement rate of around 70% in the previous year.
    * Job Opportunities: Another student highlighted that while the placement opportunities might not be numerous, the university provides internships and placements for students, especially in new fields like Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, and Internet of Things.

    However, it's essential to note that some students did mention that the placement cell could improve its efforts to secure more job opportunities for students. Despite this, the university seems to be making an effort to provide placements and internships for its students.

    Placements: I'm not sure about the placements and job opportunities, so after completing my computer language learning, I will study and learn computer languages as much as I can. Then I will apply for an internship and give my best to acquire job opportunities.
    Infrastructure: Life at the campus is average; the social behavior of students in the surrounding area is not good, and the faculty needs to take action on it. The infrastructure and clubs on campus are average, and the government needs to provide resources so that the faculty can maintain the campus infrastructure better.
    Faculty: According to me, the course is good for me because it provides better learning about internet knowledge, which is useful for upgrading our communication and internet technology. However, the faculty needs to encourage students to perform well for their future.

    Placements: As of now, the university does not offer any type of campus placement. So, I have decided to apply for jobs on my own when I graduate. I can only hope that the university starts campus placement programs by the time I graduate. I haven't applied for any internships yet because I am in the second year only. This university doesn't provide any platform to apply for internships, but the teachers try to find some good opportunities for the students.
    Infrastructure: That's the only aspect in which I am disappointed with this university because it doesn't have its own campus. However, a new permanent campus is being built. There are many clubs in the university, most of which organize programs regularly. There are no hostel facilities.
    Faculty: I would like to appreciate whoever decides the curriculum for this course in the university because it is planned as per industry norms. The faculty here is very supportive and well qualified. The university provides scholarships to financially weak students.

    Placements: There are specific percentages of placed students because there are no placements provided by the university, nothing like top recruiters; even students are struggling to get internships, but there are some students who cracked off-campus internships. In terms of placement, it’s not good to take admission here.
    Infrastructure: Facilities provided by the university include transportation, which started in the past 2 months. Transportation passes are given to students for free transport, fee concessions, scholarships, high-tech classes, water, and medical facilities. There is also a canteen on campus, but it is average and not so good.
    Faculty: Faculties are very good and friendly; they encourage students and also have a cooperative nature. They are the best because of the long and hard procedure of recruitment. The course curriculum is designed according to students to gain some theoretical knowledge as well as practical knowledge, and semester exams are at a medium level.
    Other: I chose core courses like engineering because I have passionate knowledge about computers. I think the course can be better if they focus more on gaining practical knowledge.

    Placements: There haven't been any placements yet at this college, but the placements will be good, and many companies will visit the college. The placement cell is established for the B.Tech department, and the university also helps students to get opportunities for internships.
    Infrastructure: Campus life in the university is not good because the university is under construction. Once fully constructed, the university should offer a better experience. Currently, it has average campus life. The clubs are good, and seniors are cooperative. The clubs are newly built because this university is new. Almost all books and journals are available in the university library. You can go to the library and get your book; they give a book for 14 days, and after 14 days, you need to return the book. If you want it for more than 14 days, you need to re-register the book in the library after that period. Social groups and clubs are newly established, and an ongoing club called ByteBridge is run by senior students for B.Tech students. Since the university is new and under construction, there is no hostel facility available, but they provide a private PG for accommodation. The food quality in the PG is not so good. They provide us with a PG in Sector 46, while the university is in Sector 51, which is 2 km away from the PG.
    Faculty: I have taken this course because I am getting the C.S branch in the university, so I chose this university. However, the majority of students fail here every year. This university is very helpful for the students who get good marks in the university exams. Faculty members are good and cooperative, and they assist students in various ways to help them grow. The faculty members are educated and respectable teachers who help with learning new things. Term exams are held timely, with two midterm exams and the final exam and practicals taking place in the fifth month of the ongoing semester.

    A:
    {Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

    Is Gurugram University good for B.E./B.Tech?

    Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's what we've gathered:

    Pros:

    * Affordable fees compared to private engineering colleges
    * Good faculty members who are cooperative and have proper management
    * Decent infrastructure with modern facilities
    * Opportunities for internships and industrial visits
    * Peaceful campus environment
    * Availability of labs, libraries, and computer centers

    Cons:

    * Limited placement opportunities, especially for fresher batches
    * No on-campus hostels currently, although plans are underway for a new campus with hostel facilities
    * Poor communication between the university and placement cells
    * Teachers' lack of practical experience and transferable knowledge
    * Limited facilities and infrastructure, including poor Wi-Fi connectivity and outdated lab equipment
    * Canteen and library amenities need improvement

    Overall, while Gurugram University has its strengths, particularly in terms of affordability and faculty cooperation, it still faces challenges regarding placement rates and infrastructure development. Q:   What entrance exam scores does Gurugram University accept for admission to B.Tech?

    A:

    Hi Nishar, so Gurugram University accepts two types of scores for admission. Two distinct exams, CUET and CAT,  are conducted to provide admission to management and other courses. CAT and CUET are both national-level tests. However,  CAT scores are primarily for MBA students, whereas the CUET exam is for various disciplines. This means that CAT is for you if you want to pursue an MBA. Most colleges accept CAT scores for MBA admission, but the CUET score is applicable for various courses like in the case of Gurugram University.
