HBTU Kanpur MCA Courses & Fees 2023: Dates, Eligibility & Selection, Placements

Harcourt Butler Technical University (HBTU) offer two-years Master of Computer Applications (MCA) course. This PG-level programme is divided into semester pattern. Candidates with a valid Bachelor's degree in Mathematics/Statistics/Engineering/Technology or having a BCA degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate (55% aggregate for SC/ST/PwD/OBC-NCL category) from a university recognised by UGC are eligible to apply. Applications of only the eligible candidates are acceptable. Moreover, applicants must hold the mark sheets and other documents during form filling and admission confirmation. 

The university faciliate placement support to the graduates. HBTU has not released course-wise placement report as of now. However, as per a consolidates report of placement 2023, 400 students were placed. The highest package offered to the placed candidates stood at INR 36 LPA. Moreover, some of the popular recruiters were Berger Paints, Cognizant (GenC), Acceldata Technology Pvt. Ltd.  

The university accept applications via online mode. Aspirants must submit their admission forms on time to become eligible for admission to the course. The step-by-step process for online HBTU MCA application form is as follows:

Step 1: Visit the HBTU official website.

Step 2: Click on ‘Admission 2023-24’.

Step 3: Click on the available online registration link and select ‘New Application’.

Step 4: Select the preferred course.

Step 5: Select the preferred school, and course and enter the Aadhar card number.

Step 6: Fill out the application form.

Step 7: Pay the application fee (INR 2,500 – Non-refundable) and submit the application form.

The annual academic fee for MCA is INR 1.2 lakh. After seat allotment, a candidate has to deposit the balance Annual Academic Fee i.e., INR 60,000 for General/OBC category candidates and INR 35,000 for SC/ST/EWS candidates. The fee payment can be done via online mode and should be paid within the prescribed time period. Admissions to HBTU Kanpur MCA course is done on the basis of merit in National Institute of Technology Master of Computer Applications Common Entrance Test (NIMCET) or CUET-PG. Hence, the seat allotment process is carried out based on the applicants NIMCET rank. To take this test, candidates need to register online on its official website.
